Las Vegas at risk for tornadoes and severe thunderstorms this afternoon
Take cover if this comes up. "Even a weak tornado is dangerous—60 to 80 MPH winds don't sound too bad until it picks up debris and throws it at you at those speeds. If you're in a vehicle and a tornado warning is issued, try to get to a sturdy building nearby and ride it out inside. Tornadoes can pick up and toss cars with relative ease, so they're not safe places to ride a storm out. "

Crazy. Don't depend on a siren there obv...lol When I lived in Georgia many of them weren't functional. And casinos are pretty sturdy. ;)

It just went from sunny to pouring rain here at the casa de mago. It is now cloudy, but not raining.
Looks like north Las Vegas is getting the worst of it, based on where the dark grey clouds are.

Lol in Pittsburgh you can't tell who is getting it because all you can see is the next hill. Must be weird living on flat land
Expect the worst and you will never be disappointed.

I was out on a mountain out at red rock canyon/calico basin today. We could see a storm likely to brew. Two sets of clouds coming from different directions that would inevitably collide with each other. When we got back to my buddys later a lightning bolt struck a palm tree in his backyard. It caught fire and the fire department had to come out.
