I would think single bingo means one line. Hardway means not using the free square.

I wonder why they don't specify the minimum?

FYI:

The minimum for a Single Bingo is 4 balls.

A double is two lines, and they CAN intersect, making the minimum 8 balls (they can share one space, and use the free space)

Hardways can't use the free space, but they can still intersect. So a Triple Hard Way uses a minimum of 13 balls.

A six-pack, as a general rule, doesn't use the free space, while a nine-pack has to.

Yes, a "single bingo" is just one line. This often leads into a "double bingo" the next game.

I guess they don't specify a minimum because the players already know what it would be, or it isn't required to know that to win.
