This website recommends Bovada. I did like Bovada until yesterday. They disabled my account with no explanation. I got an email from them to reach out to customer service. I've done that and I get no explanation for them disabling my account. I had no issues with them when I was constantly depositing and losing. This last deposit, I'm actually up about $400 and they disabled my account. Has this happened to anyone else? At first I was able to get in a chat room with customer service. Now the button for the chat room has disappeared. They are ignoring my emails. So, basically I lose my last deposit without even playing. They just stole it. Do not use Bovada.

In one of my latest posts, I mentioned the EXACT same thing that you went through about online gambling. They'll TAKE your deposit and let you LOSE, but when you're UP, they'll block your Account and not pay you out. Concerning and scary..😵‍💫😱😳

I have a feeling there is more to this story.

Are you betting on sports or playing casino games?

What State do they have you registered from?

Did you ever use a VPN while playing?

Have you played from a State they don't allow such as NV or NJ?

Were you using bonuses?

Have you ever had another account with them, or does someone else you know have an account with them and they are using your internet?

FYI they can detect betting patterns to detect multi-accounting even if you have taken other steps to avoid detection.

Have you made a formal complaint to any 3rd party affiliate site such as LCB.ORG?

While I don't dispute this happened to you, it's certainly not widespread, or the web would be flooded with negative comments and Bovada wouldn't enjoy the generally positive reputation that they do.

I've won at Bovada many times (over the last 20 years) and they certainly never disabled my account. I've also seen internal player reports, where players win huge jackpots, and those accounts aren't closed, either.

You leave a lot out of your story, like whether you were betting sports or casino, whether you're in a prohibited state, whether you were seemingly abusing bonuses, etc.

On my own site, my recommendation is that if you're in a state that has legalized gambling, of course go with one of the licensed / regulated operators in your state. If your state does NOT have licensed gambling, then you're not gonna do better than Bovada, not because Bovada is especially awesome, but because all other offerings are even worse.

Finally, I'm super unimpressed that this is your FIRST post on this site.

I'm in Florida. Does Bovada detect that you are using a VPN?

Thanks

I know FL sent a cease-and-desist letter to Bovada but Florida is not listed on Bovada's prohibited states list in its Terms of Service. I'm guessing they just haven't updated the website, but anyway, have you tried to play at Bovada and were rejected?

It seems individual states with online casinos like NJ and MI are actively sending cease and desist orders to offshore and sweepstakes sites. It remains to be seen if they will do anything and if the sites will comply. I think some may be blocking players from those states.

I only do a small amount offshore. It seems the thinking is don’t be surprised if you get screwed with offshores but you’re safe with the regulated sites. I don’t know but I seem to be hearing more stories of the regulated books getting more and more bold. They are voiding bets they don’t like and adding vague language to their terms like you can’t group bet. So your friend sends you a bet he made and you place it, they can now void it if they want.

Just had a live chat conversation with a Bovada employee. He says Floridians can play their casino games. It's not on the list of restricted states. I guess I'll sign up?
