I am new here, from UK.

Somewhat related, I was thinking that in user interface, the Submit button is usually in the bottom right probably because in the course of reading, one starts at the top left and ends at the bottom right. Which is why a local sushi place with touch-screen ordering annoys me with their Order button on the bottom left and the Cancel button on the bottom right. Wait, maybe my UI theory is for English readers, and Asian readers end on the bottom left?! [lightbulb!]
