In a Florida casino, I noticed that the pair plus pay table for 3 card poker was exceptional and is as follows:
200 Mini Royal
50 Straight Flush
30 Three of a Kind
6 Straight
4 Flush
1 Pair
I don't have a computer program to calculate the advantage, but it appears to be around 2% for the player based on some rough comparisons. Is this accurate?
In addition, I found out that you also have to play the ante bet (which I believe has around an 8% disadvantage). Also, the pair plus hand has to beat the dealers hand to get paid. However, the pair plus bet does not have to be the same as the ante bet. So potentially I am thinking that an advantage could be gained betting, say $50 on the pair plus and only $5 on the ante bet. Would this get me an overall advantage. The maximum bet allowed on the pair plus is $100 and the minimum on the ante is $5. I am also concerned about the volatility and wonder what type of bankroll I would need to exploit this advantage fully.

Are you sure it is not a 2% house edge?

Without the mini royal payout the house edge is only around 0.14% (for 50/30/6/4/1) and I am guessing that the additional 200 mini royal payout adds close to 2.9%, but I don't have an odds calculator.

Ah..I didny catch the straight still paying 6-1 rather than 4-1 in the Florida version. But the pair is only paying 1-1, it's 2-1 in the Florida version.
Do ties push or lose?
Where is this table?

You have to beat the dealer in order to win the pair plus bet in Florida card rooms, as you said. Check the house rules for wagering minimums, and I believe Ante >= PP is standard. Of course, you may have found an exception that is exploitable. But, they've been doing this a long time down there ...
