There was a thread yesterday asking what is the probability the player gets a 20 (hard total, so that's easy, two tens), the upcard is an ace, and the dealer draws to 21 with exactly 5 cards.

I spent hours yesterday solving this problem, and now I can't find the thread! Grrrr....

Next time, I will just leave the window open or bookmark it. I tried searching and cannot find it.

Help! :(

thanks

If you posted in the thread, click your own name, then go to the "View posts made by..." section. It will have your chronologically ordered posts you've recently made. If you posted just yesterday, look for yesterdays date and the thread title.

Otherwise if you can remember 1 specific phrase or sentence from the thread you can use the sites search functionality, and it should be able to find the thread (the more unique the sentence the better off your odds of finding it via search).

I didn't post in the thread. Various search queries did not locate it.

I didn't post in this thread.

See my edit above, sorry was just adding that in.

Also if you can remember the title you can also search that, of course.

Well drats =P. I thought I remembered a thread you referred to so I checked my past month of post history to no avail =/. My only last thought is that it must be in the Blackjack section, right? Could go page by page scanning to scratch that itch I suppose =/. Good luck finding it.

I believe the general rule is: so long as you put in effort to find the old thread, which it does appear you've done, then you should be able to start a new one rehashing an older topic.

This is the thread you're looking for below.

I also appended this link to your solution, and closed that thread. I suggest you paste the response there into the thread you're responding to.
