Or Spirit from LAS to ACY stopping in Florida for like $600 RT.
Both are like 7 hrs out and 9 hrs back
Still shorter than 11 to 14 hours.

I was counting that trip as about 10 hours. When I fly I always try to arrive with a little relaxing time at the airport before the flight.
Thanks for the suggestions guys but I already knew those options were out there. Also, there were no specific dates. I've just done the flight from LAS to PHI + train rides route way too many times and I'll be doing it again sometime soon. It just seems there is no easy way to get there and back. Multiple flights vs. 1 flight and 2 trains. Multiple flights might save 1/2 hour to two hours overall with no delays I figure. If I can save myself $100/hour or so I might as well stick with the trains. If there's any other suggestions feel free to shoot em at me.
Quote: kewljWait a minute. I am confused as to how Mooseton came up with 11-14 hours. I fly from Vegas to Phila twice a year and its 4.5 hours going, an hour longer returning. It's a half hour train ride from the Philly airport to 30th street station where you catch the AC bound train (N. J. Transit). The train from Philly to AC is 90 minutes. Add in an hour for connections and you are talking 7 1/2 hours. Where did the 11-14 hours come from?
1.5 Arrive at Las 1 1/2 hours early
5 5 hour flight roughly
.25 Wait for Airport train
.25 Ride train to 30th Street Station
1.5 Wait for Atlantic City train *sometimes longer, sometimes less
1.5 Ride Atlantic City train
.25 Shuttle to hotel
Total there is 10.25 hours. Maybe I was including some time zone change or ride to the airport in LV before. Still, I've been doing these rides about every other month or once every 3 months for a while. It's exhausting but usually worth it :) I hate flying now though.

Right on. I try to do that too but it's tough and not exactly rejuvenating. Safe travels to you in a couple weeks.

I'm responding to the post you made after this one but I'm not quoting it just in case.
I hope no one uses the flight information you gave to track you down to see who you are or for any other reason. Sorry if this sounds extreme but you can't be too careful these days.
I recommend flying into Philly and renting a car as well. Take care though, depending on the day and time, traffic could be pretty bad getting out of Philly. If you enjoy speeding, you will greatly enjoy the AC expressway.

Very good point. Too often the time spent at the airport, and the time to get to the airport, isn't counted as "travel time." in some cases, counting all that amkes a 3.5 hour drive about equal to a 30 minute flight.
Southwest and US Airways have been running a couple of nonstops daily between PHL and LAS for a couple of years now.
