I was just at the Showboat in Atlantic City and as I cashed in my meager amount of remaining chips, I noticed a 5X8 note taped to the inside wall of the cashiers cage stating as of(I can't remeber the exact date but sometime late 2010 I think) ALL gaming vouchers, by State law, in New Jersey, were valid and redeemable for one year. I think this is fantastic. My only concern is out of the three casinos I visited this was the only one that had any mention of this law and it was litterally a piece of typewritten paper taped to the inside of a cashiers wall which 90-95 percent of the people will miss seeing. Shouldn't this new law be more displayable so all of the gamblers are aware of it?

Its a bad law, before the new law you had eternity to cash them out (still on chips)
If you read them they tell you they expire in a year.

I really never paid attention. Most places in Vegas only give you like 30-90 days to do so. I never knew NJ was endless.

I applaud New Jersey for at least making the minimum one year. Here it is a paltry 30 days, although many place voluntarily go a little higher.
