Resorts World seems to be feeling the pinch. Lately, especially on weekdays - Crockford's high limit areas - practically Empty.

Weekends, some action, but mostly droves of club goers.

When you keep winning and they start talking about how you are "overcomped" ("but don't worry - we still got you") you know that the property is hurtin' for certain! Will RW survive? or is it another Vegas bankruptcy in the works? But, considering that they are owned by Genting and Genting is able to carry the loss against profits at its other properties, I'd say that a sale versus any kind of going under would be more likely, if anything does happen.
I tell you it’s wonderful to be here, man. I don’t give a damn who wins or loses. It’s just wonderful to be here with you people. https://wizardofvegas.com/forum/gambling/betting-systems/33908-the-adventures-of-mdawg/

Gentling had to restructure RW Catskills. Lot of chatter it was going to file to bankruptcy.

It's not the sort of thing anyone will admit to via text, but next time I see the VP or Pres at RW I'll ask...I am a plain blunt man when it comes to asking such questions.

RW was definitely hurting during the summer when the temps were scorching and no one wanted to walk past that empty former Frontier lot to get to the property, but they were claiming that foot traffic was improving once the weather cooled.

Still, I mean, how many people walk from the center of the Strip to Mandalay Bay? probably not many but Mandalay Bay seems to be doing okay as far as I know.

I assume the fact that Mandalay Bay is pretty much adjacent to Allegiant Stadium has something to do with any recent success.

Also, is the tram from Mandalay Bay to Excalibur running? If it is, then "walking to Mandalay Bay" isn't all that necessary - and that doesn't even take the Deuce buses into account, although if you've ever seen those things at night, there are times when walking might be faster.

I once walked all the way from Mandalay Bay to the other end of the Strip (Bellagio as I recall, or it might have been Venetian). It was on a bad day when I lost at one casino after another (2 or 3 in a row) about twenty years ago or something like that. I took a cab to Mandalay Bay (I was in too much of a rush to wait for a limo), and then after I lost at Mandalay Bay I walked all the way back. Just didn't feel like getting in a vehicle.

But then more recently I've done about the same thing (taken a cab to a casino and then walked back) and won BIG, so I guess win or lose may put you in a state of mind to want to just walk. But the walk back from a win is much more fun than the walk back from a loss.

A friend of mine once walked all the way from downtown to the Sahara and back. Wasn't even playing, just wanted to do it.

As far as these trams and such, there are trams that will take you from parts of the Strip to other parts of the Strip but they don't really seem to help that much in the scheme of things when you consider all the extra walking you have to do going in and out of the casinos versus just keepin' on truckin' down the sidewalk.

I’m not surprised. RW Catskills is the closest casino to my home. Prior was Sands Bethlehem.

While it was still being built, I knew RW would struggle simply by comparing a satellite view of it to Sands.

RW is surrounded by forests. Trees for miles around, plus one highway passing through. Sands is surrounded by a city. And another city.
I invented a few casino games. Info: http://www.DaveMillerGaming.com/ ————————————————————————————————————— Superstitions are silly, childish, irrational rituals, born out of fear of the unknown. But how much does it cost to knock on wood? 😁
