It nice to hear about others interests.....Am I the only one who spends massive amounts of money monthly on pipes and tinned tobacco?

I loathe indoor smoking.
I wish the casinos would cater to the 80% of the population that does not smoke instead of the 20% who do.
Most smokers are totally inconsiderate of the health and comfort of nonsmokers, to the point of being openly hostile.
My father used to smoke a pipe, and I have to say it is the least offensive of all the brands of secondhand smoke....

I fooled around with some pipes for a while. One day someone said something to the effect of, "from my background I have no notions of Professors and such, but old men with a dirty habit trying to save money over cigarettes." Although I immediately felt this was not fair, I couldn't shake it. I also couldnt get that smooth cool smoke some said you could get, although with good cigars I could.
Seemed like it was easier to accidentally get burn spots on clothes too.
Gave it up.

Tried one once as I used to like cigars and thought there would be a good variety of flavor. Might have been the pipe but it was ccery difficult to get any drag and when I did there was minimal flavor.
