Wizard's Challenge - Will 100% of the bets be resolved?

On any other site, with other participants, I would say the answer was a no brainer. However, I think the people on this site are a special breed, and I think 100% of the booked bets will be resolved.

I voted everyone will pay up as well for the same reasons you list. Since the bets were only $5, and this is a gambling website, I would hope everyone that participated values their reputation more than $5.

There usually is that 1 person though, I guess we'll have to wait and see.

I'd be more concerned with the logistics rather than the potential for welching.

I would not be surprised if there is one welcher. Of course there could be a disputed finish too. I'm looking forward to the video (i think).

I believe most will pay, but all? For me the $5 is great entertainment value.

Soopoo paying was never in doubt. Although the sample was small, the result on that one was unanimous. I really thought David would pull this off, thus making the real question if all of the bettors would pay off Soopoo. I guess we'll never know for sure now.

Yikes! I didnt notice this thread as I was in vegas during its short run. The Wiz, Jim Morrison, and gofaster have been paid. rdw4potus gave me instructions to give David his $5 which I have done. DJTeddy Bear will be mailed a personal check. The others who I owe need to pm me with mailing info so I can pay off. A bet is a bet. This reminds me of my golf gambling. Me and some buddies will bet a few dollars on greenies, best ball, etc.. with the result someone usually owing 3 or 4 dollars to the others. Even if someone treats for the golf, say $70, the gambling debts are always paid off.

SooPoo, I wish you were still in Vegas! I would have asked you to take my huge $5.00 winnings and stuck it into a $5 slot machine for me! That's what I usually do with my winnings...

If you want, I can do that next time at my local casino, Seneca Niagara. Then perhaps it will amount to something more worth sending to you. But, of course, it is up to you. I've generally preferred to have David send the money as a lesson, that a bet is a bet. But I will await your instructions....

I would not be living up to my handle of "gambler" if I do not take you up on my $5 parlay to a huge jackpot!

So yes, the next time you go to a casino (no rush), please insert my $5 into any slot machine and give it a pull. Then give me a call and tell me that I can buy a new sports car!

I was going to Las Vegas once and had a friend who gave me $100 and told me to walk up to the first craps tables I saw and throw out a $100 snake eyes bet (one time roll of two aces or a two) for him. Feeling like a fool, I walked up to a table at the Hard Rock Hotel hotel, I bought in for $100, asked for one black chip, tossed it to the stickman and yelled, "Snake eyes!" And guess what, the next roll was exactly that!

Err... wait... that was my $100 bill, right? My friend's $100 was going to be for the next roll... right? Yeah, that's it! Time for me to collect my winnings and go to a very nice dinner and a show... Or maybe I should let it ride for another roll...

And yes, I paid him his money.

Unless you give me instructions otherwise, I will parlay your $5 until it is $0 or $100 or more. It's all yours unless it is a jackpot in which case I will give you whatever is left after Uncle Sam and Uncle Andrew (Cuomo) take their cuts.
