I presume he meant an infinite number of trials, since he said "all". Also, it's manifest that individuals' odds are different; you could have been born with a silver spoon up your ass, or you could have been born in a mud village in Ghana.

I don't know what he meant. Perhaps the "bum" who was chronicled decades ago in Subways Are For Sleeping should be consulted. He dropped out of the rat race and amongst his many other accomplishments he read every word that Damon Runyon had ever written. Maybe the "bum" had the right idea.
