Cops are already on paid leave. FBI is involved
So far what we know.
Cops respond to a forgery case (which seems weird on the face of it)
Black male has been determined to be unarmed.
And yes he has died.
It's a disturbing video IMHO.
It's mysterious as to what is going on, and what went on before bystander videotape started. Nobody should excuse it if he choked to death; it appears he did
The thing is, all these similar events involve resisting arrest, if you value your life you just don't want to be doing that. Even the guy selling the "loosies" from a while back, come on dude, you can't be resisting arrest, bad move
I already said it doesn't excuse it

Resisting arrest is a catch-all.
Since when do people go to jail for selling loose cigarettes? How can you resist an arrest that isn't supposed to take place?
But that's the Eric Garner case. This one the officer cannot claim he feared for his life (his partner calmly stands next to him).
The guy has been subdued
The guy stops moving but the officer doesn't stop.
Even with a crowd of onlookers pointing it out to him.
Seven minutes of restricted breathing neck hold. Smh
I woud probably struggle as well if somebody had their knee on my neck and it was hard to breathe.Quote: odiousgambitI try not to get involved in these threads

The dude shooting the video may have made things worse for the guy.
Whatever the case, I hope these bastards go down hard.
Why he got to be a street punk, bro?😊Quote: SOOPOOThere will be two openings on the Minneapolis police force soon. When a street punk is able to see that the cop killed him, the other cop should have noticed as well.....

Selling "loosies" was banned sometime under the Obama admin, I forget exactly when. Selling cigarettes on the street has always been illegal AFIK. In most cases the cops would probably just roust you. If you come back and get caught again or if you mouth off then you are making them arrest you.
While I could probably suspend everybody involved, I will just throw down a suspension to darkoz, who started it. I'll be nice and not apply the Martingale rule, but neither does this reset the Martingale. Three days.
