I will be in Vegas from Oct 15-Oct 23rd (more posts to follow, I'm sure). My girlfriend will be joining me for the first weekend of my trip (Oct 15-Oct 18). We've been joking with our families that we're going to Vegas to get married without them.

I would like to take things a step farther and actually take the GF to a wedding chapel in Vegas (for pictures, not a wedding). I would like that to be the most outlandish chapel possible. Where do y'all think I should take her?

As luck would have it, next week I'm in Vegas for a Wedding Professionals conference. On Tuesday evening, there is going to be a chapel tour. I took the tour last year and may again this year. The only chapel I remember BY NAME is the Elvis Chapel - http://www.vivalasvegasweddings.com/

One other chapel, which I'll try to get the name, had a garden area which was made up of hundreds of stained glass flowers. Very cool.

The third was a drive-thru which also had a chapel inside on the second floor. It claimed to be the only chapel with a second floor or in walking distance from city hall. Personally, neither fact really impressed my, although it did look like a nicely maintained facility.

On that last note, during the bus ride, we also passed a lot of 'chapels' that looked like someone's run-down home with a chapel sign out front - and looked like they should be condemmed!
