Is it bad that I laughed when I saw this?
Quote:Palm Bay, FL A 22-year-old man reportedly out to burglarize a few homes in Brevard County found out the hard way that crime doesnt pay.
According to the Brevard County Sheriffs Office, a burglary suspect they were actively looking for on Nov. 13 realized deputies were hot on his trail and chose to hide near Barefoot Bay lake. That decision proved fatal.
While hiding near the water, it seems the burglary suspect, identified as Matthew Riggins, ran afoul of an 11-foot alligator. Seeing easy prey, the gator attacked.
Riggins, the sheriffs office said, drowned as a result of that attack. His body, however, wasnt found until 10 days after the initial burglary call came in.
You primed me for something potentially awkwardly funny.
I laughed.

Tough call...
First, laughing is good for the soul, there's an endorphin thing or something...
Second, gator partially eats bad guy,
Now gets tough....
Give gator a medal cause it accidentally partially ate the right guy?
Or kill the gator cause we, as a civilized society, DO NOT WANT the gators accidentally partially eating the correct people. Or incorrect people.
Really, let the gators eat the people's pets, I'm OK.
Let the gators eat the stupid people that hide by the gator pond, still I'm OK, maybe....
Realize the gators were here first, give a point or two to the gator for being a gator...
The gator is still winning in my thoughts.
I vote for gators eating stupid people, even by accident.
I vote for smart people wearing gator leather boots, or belts, or handbags.
I vote to ensure, for forever, that gators have at least a fair chance in the battle against the invaders.
No doubt will take additional Federal action, and State action, and local action.
I fear for myself, and I fear for the gators.......
Quote: AyecarumbaIs the story made up? I don't know how the details got put together when the body wasn't found until 10 days later. Was there a witness to the attack who didn't report it?

A few other sources are reporting it. But they are British tabloids.
Oh yeah and FOX News which is tabloid. So what does that tell you? *munches popcorn* *munches popcorn* *munches popcorn* *munches popcorn*

Hehe... Why aren't there any professional sports teams named after Alligators or Crocodiles? The Pelican doesn't seem very scary at all, but even it has an NBA team.
Autopsies can reveal a lot of facts.Quote: AyecarumbaIs the story made up? I don't know how the details got put together when the body wasn't found until 10 days later. Was there a witness to the attack who didn't report it?
You very bad man!
Dishes were from King Crab legs, for lunch, was an experiment of sorts.
News channel said, If I heard right (left), if I heard correctly, officers had eliminated the gator and verified remains of (Williams, I thought I heard Williams? Give me a break, I was washing dishes) Williams inside the gator's stomach.....
Supposed perpetrator dead, and partially eaten (not convicted under due process)
Gator 'eliminated' with evidence found in gator's stomach.
I am not sure who won, who lost, or how to play the next hand, specially if you're a gator!
<edit> OK, was Riggins, not Williams. No apology, I was washing dishes....

Aye..
This did in fact happen here. Not very uncommon, actually. But usually small children, dogs, and cats.
And I think it's Darwinism at its finest. Scummy lawbreaker eaten/drowned by 6 million year old reptile species. May there be many more. <burp> Tastes like....chicken!
LOL! 😄Quote: beachbumbabs<burp> Tastes like....chicken!

You mean the Florida Gators don't count. They are practically professional

You haven't watched much of them this year.

No, it's bad to have your head bitten off by a crock. That's different.
I'm not certain that Schadenfreude is mortal sin. You did not....feel his pain....

Against my better discretion...+1.
I rated this mope a couple notches better, at a seven-point-five:
