Absolutely true, some guy went to a well known Rabbi and they are going to Kosher certify weed. Now, I absolutely heard it all.
Possible names. Potsmitzvha; Tahistchitk; AcupolcoGoldstien; Potszaballs.

The whole kosher game is supposed to be about religion but in reality its who is allowed to make money in the jewish culture.
Its just a forum. Nothing here to get obsessed about.

I grew up in a semi-Kosher household, and have a brother that is a Rabbi, so I know something about this subject.
Tobacco products do not need Kosher certification, but if they are going to be used as a food ingredient, (pot brownies), then they do need Kosher certification.

I used to own a repossession company in the northeast. I have a found memory of a Rabbi certifying me as a "Kosher Repossessor" up in a Hebrew enclave off of Highway 17 in the southern Catskills. I went to repo his vehicle for a bank and showed him the utmost respect and professionalism while keeping it quite from the numerous people there. He jokingly certified me and shook hands. For what it's worth, fruits vegetables herbs etc. are kosher by default.
The certification is only to ensure that proper procedures are in place in the fields and at the processing plant. For example, if employees bring their lunch, they have to keep it out of the area, wash hands before entering, etc.
