Themed xmas gifts

I buy and ship to extended family far away, and like to follow a theme.
One year I gave everybody switchblades.
Another year it was high quality LED flashlights.
This year, it is stun guns.

Walmart gift cards are the perfect gift and they can usually be purchased for 50 cents on the dollar right out front of the store.
At my age, a "Life In Prison" sentence is not much of a deterrent.

If you ever see this as a legitimate situation I'm in on as much as I can get.
The problem is theres a way to get scammed and scam.
I shouldn't go into details and give anyone any dumb ideas.
There are guys on craigslist that buy gift cards for up to 75% and they come meet you. I sold a ton of Kohl's at 65% we got practically free.
I don't know how them don't get scammed.
Perhaps they changed something or you know something I don't.
The only way I know of to be 100% walmart cards are safe is to have the person let you use the card and pay them after the cashier hand you your stuff.
I know some have a scratch off thing. I guess that should be fine if you verify the funds online or with the cashier. possibly you can register them in your name.

I'm not saying there isn't ways to get scammed but at least go online with your phone and check the card balance.

Check the balance and use them right away. People could easily sell you a good one and then use it online before you get to the register.
Expect the worst and you will never be disappointed.
