Freddie Roach: "Manny Pacquiao said he'll beat Chris Algieri in 'one round.' "

I don't think so.

The upcoming fight this weekend in Macao should be better than that.

At least, I hope so.

Manny will win no doubt. One round prolly not. I see this as more of a show than an actual fight as to put Macau/Macao on the map (internationally) while getting Manny fans pumped up.

Manny's currency has slipped as of late: he's not what he once was.

It seems the years are taking a toll on him, which of course is to be expected.

Everyone hopes that before they retire Manny and Floyd will finally go toe to toe, but I don't see it happening.

Will Algieri's mastery of MMA and kickboxing assist him, or hinder him, as he has only switched recently to boxing?

Dunno, but the fight could be interesting.

I think it will happen as Floyd's "last fight". Two or three years ago i would have been very interested in it but now I think they will just take it for one last big payday.

Manny's skills have diminished a lot. Floyd may be slowing down but I think he will be a huge favorite when it happens.
At my age, a "Life In Prison" sentence is not much of a deterrent.

He seems to be focused on his position in his community and helping create a better place for his people. He seems more interested in being a community figurehead, then whats left in his boxing career. Which I can definitely respect.

Manny won.

No surprise.

Unfortunately for him, the fight went the distance.

Manny couldn't get a KO, although he knocked him down quite a bit.

Not the decisive victory Manny had hoped for: still a question about his punching power.

He's got the speed, and the skill, but why couldn't he knock this pretender out?
