There are people with far worse than 10/497 or maybe you are saying that is a good ratio which means his threads are not frivolous?
Normally I disagree with telling people to take it to DT but I think this borders on a political discussion which should definitely be over there. I didn't watch it so maybe I am wrong.
Although after 2nd thought. His title is Thoughts? so maybe he just wants people to post a thought and it has nothing to do with the link. In that case I think we have both posted a thought.

What does "off-topic" mean to you?
This is posted in the Off-Topic section of the Off-Topic section. As long as this section is open it's an invitation to post. Some of us know the preference for the three big topics to be posted at DT rather than here, many have no idea. I'm not sure that this even falls under one of the three.
Many of us have no interest in joining a site that has only managed 110 active members in almost two years. Many would like a much larger audience. There have been ample opportunities for the rules, policies or preferences to be clarified but it has yet to happen. What if Sabretom2 had begun his post discussing one of the many rifle ranges in Las Vegas?
I'll let this slide because you're right.Quote: Sabretom2What does "off-topic" mean to you?
But I can't stand it when people use meaningless titles like "Thoughs?" and/or post nothing but a link.
Why can't you include a brief description of what it is you're linking, and use a meaningful title?
No, I haven't watched the video. Nor do I plan to. Time is too valuable for wild goose chases.
Quote: Sabretom2I was simply interested in the thoughts of the members here after watching the short video. I realize the subject doesn't rise to the level of seat back position or the complexities of tipping cocktail waitresses, but I'd still be interested in your reaction.
Honestly, I thought the video was about joining the US armed forces. Either way, the young folks today are generally disenchanted by their country, their future and themselves. National pride and the pillars of the NRA are ideologies currently being grasped by those born prior to 1975...and those residing south of the Mason-Dixon line. It's sad.(says the man wearing Italian and driving Bavarian)

You'll let is slide? Thank goodness, your approval is important to me.
I agree, time is valuable. How much time does it take to make 8100 posts?

Sorry, I was little over the top.
Just trying to increase business over at DT :-)

Good luck with that...I had hoped it would take off more than it has, but it is still pretty uninhabited...
Here:Quote: 1BBI started a thread back in February entitled DT: Why Haven't You joined? It went to a few pages if anyone cares to dig it up.

I quite agree with this but I think you know as well as I do that there are people who simply enjoy being rude and posting only a link with no explanatory text just as you as well as I do that there are people who will persistently post their off topic items here instead of at DT simply because they want to.
Now as for some substance?
I think Vietnam was the starting point of disaffection. Sons received posthumous medals, fathers sent them back. Scroll forwards a bit to some dumb football player who chose USA over NFL and became a Ranger only to get murdered by a man in his own platoon and have the circumstances of his death be covered up. I wonder what the NRA position is on Israel recruiting Islamic terrorists to attack the WTC and have US troops used in a series of No Exit wars to make the Middle East safe for Israel.
Americans dying in the middle east are not dying for THEIR country.

Do you think its the real estate thats the issue? Or is it central banking.
It appears to this humble poster that all wars are "bankers wars" or if preferred resource wars. If Hussein just woudn't have tried accepting Euros for oil, Khadafi hadn't tried the African Bank, or Mossedegh hadn't proclaimed its resources belonged to his people, they might all still be here today? It has nothing to do with democracy.
After all, "I care not who makes its laws".

Apparently an argument on whether something should be posted here or at DT.
