I took a look at the forum, just for fun.
Have you ever noticed that you never see EvenBob and John Patrick in the same picture?

You mean Rush? Yes, finally hearing the truth has
been known to enrage libs. That asshat Franken
wrote a book with Rush in the title and admitted
he never listened to even one of his shows. Yet
he's an expert on the man. The people who put
Rush down never listen to him, they know too
many people who have been converted to common
sense by doing so, and they're terrified of having
their misguided core beliefs ripped out.

I disagree with you.
With what you just said right there...You seem to imply that white people are better than other people. That's not really what you're saying is it?"
"Of course that's what I'm saying," Buchanan replied "Isn't it obvious? Anything worth doing on this Earth was done first by white people."
LOLQuote: onenickelmiracleRush is a great band ha ha but Lush Rimbaugh is just a PR guy. I can't take him seriously as an honorable truthful person. You don't redefine facts to fit your world view, you change your world view based on the facts.
Accusing Rush of being strongly opinionated is one thing, but saying he's a liar is just ignorant. He's less of a liar than, say, Dan Rather, yet libs never complain about him.
Your homework. Listen to the show and take notes. You'll see it. He is just a servant to his masters and does their bidding and the listeners are his pawns.
Ignorant? You're using the Michael Jackson defense! lolQuote: Beethoven9thLOL

I'm independent and won't take or support the bull of nobody.
Like people have said before, Ran Dather is just an entertainer. He's a PR guy without any sense of a moral backbone at all. Just another pied piper spinning every story of the day to rile people up and laughs every day to the bank while his viewers are kicked out of their homes. I used to watch every day, but realized I was being brain washed and he was inconsistent and contradicted himself depending on who did what.Quote: onenickelmiracleLike people have said before, Lush Rimbaugh is just an entertainer. My father, a lifelong Republican, finds Katie Couric hilarious. But that almost speaks to what she is—a liberal blowhard. People watch her for the same reason I listen to Noory. What she says that's worth the breath has invariably been said much better by someone else. And we all know she doesn't practice what she preaches. She's just, well...fun.Quote: 24BingoMy father, a lifelong Democrat who considers me a right-wing maniac, finds Rush hilarious. But that almost speaks to what he is - a blowhard, a showman. Is this seriously what is said to be, what was it, busting chops or whatever? Rush is responsible for people getting kicked out of their homes? Rush is laughing about it? I didn't even realize his listeners were getting kicked out of their homes.
Could you explain what this is supposed to mean?
He is uncomfortable with Libertarianism and has referred to Libertarians as kooks, which has always disappointed me........he likes the freedom thing but not too much freedom. He is a country club Republican.
I agree with him most of the time. He's an American icon.
Just like all the other talking heads he gets paid to speak the producer's opinions, in the hopes that if we're all talking, we're distracted enough not to actually solve the problem.
the Libs who never even listen to him absolutely
bonkers. They have no idea what he says or what
he's about, yet they get frothing at the mouth angry
at the mention of his name. What Rush does is he
teaches an ongoing course in what Liberalism really
is, in 20 years he's never disappointed. He
completely nailed Obama for who we now know he
is, long before anybody else did. He said he hoped
Obama would fail, and god, don't most of us realize
what he was saying now. Obama won, and America
and the world, lost.

What? You think Rush or Glen Beck or Hannity
are puppets for their producers? That's hilarious!
THEY hire the producers, the producers mirror
the hosts opinions or they're out of there.
Did anybody here listen to Airhead America when
Al Franken was the host? What a painful thing
it was to listen to an hour of whining and hand
wringing about how those wascally wepublicans
were ruining everything. It was truly pathetic.
celebrities of 2014 and Rush is right there with
Speilberg and Oprah and George Lucas. Imagine
that.

He gets people to believe in things which ultimately are against their best interests. They're just not able to envision the end game. I remember things like privatizing utilities being told it would lower prices, etc. Usually it's always something which backfires after a while then when it does it's because of somebody else. He doesn't seem to ever be able to see ahead when it's something he pushes and doesn't want to. He's just PR and doesn't care.Quote: AZDuffmanRush is responsible for people getting kicked out of their homes? Rush is laughing about it? I always thought he was joking about the name.Quote: Beethoven9thYou're obviously not a listener at all. Do you even know who his producer is?
Yeah, not going with the sage, as you might have guessed.
Quote: onenickelmiracleI always thought he was joking about the name.
Mr. Snerdly
Yes, his real name is James Golden though. Trust me, Rush is the man in charge of that show, not Snerdley/Golden.
Quote: onenickelmiracleI always thought he was joking about the name.
Mr. Snerdly
You think Snerdly is the producer? He's the guy
who answers the phones. He's black and him
and Rush are old friends. Of course that can't
be true because Rush is such a bigot, lol.

Mr. Snerdlly is the call screener, not the producer. Rush is the "producer" in that he drives the content and direction. He will have a producer in the room who tells him how much time to commercial and other traffic direction. But Limbaugh himself produces the show in the traditional sense.

Rush is the producer in Florida who makes
all the decisions of what goes on the show,
from his 'stack of stuff'. Kit Carson is in NYC
and is the tech producer who makes sure
things run smoothly to all the 600 stations
that carry the show. There is no place in the
US that can't get Rush's show on the radio.
If you lose it on your car radio as you travel,
you'll find another station that has it right
away.
Quote: treetopbuddyRush produces his show with a skeleton staff. Half a dozen people or so, I believe.
Bo and Kitt as described by EB. He has that guy Koko who I think produces the website and Cookie who does I forget what.
Realistically it only takes a few people to produce a radio show. Host and screener, production producer, maybe 1 other? He probably has some kind of sales staff, though I would guess Rush is involved in most to all new clients once they get past the screening process. It was him or Hannity where GM wanted to come back and they said TBNT.
Quote: AZDuffmanIt was him or Hannity where GM wanted to come back and they said TBNT.
It was Rush. He has advertisers literally busting
down his door, he has the pick of the best. If
you drop him and try to go back, good luck with
that.
Frankly, I tuned him out when he was on ESPN and said that the NFL wanted Donovan McNabb to succeed simply because he was black, and I recall thinking, "What the hell did he just say?"

Turns out he was right, which he mentions
all the time. Obama was nominated and
elected simply because he's black. He had
no record to run on, he was elected on
false promises, his skill at reading a teleprompter,
and because he was black. The media loved
that.

Turns out your recollections aren't accurate. He criticized the media for wanting a black quarterback to do well.

He's also the only one I ever heard say anything even close to racial about McNabb. Frankly, I always thought the fact that he was in Philly had a lot more to do with why the NFL, the media, etc. wanted him to succeed than his race.

If you do not believe the media have been giving push to black QBs since the 1970s then you are either blind or deluding yourself.
