I love hearing really good acoustic versions of songs. Not only do they sound great (when done right), it takes a lot of talent to pull it off. Fortunately, YouTube has a bunch of such videos, although I can't find them all on my own. Please share some acoustic versions of your favorite songs.

I'll start. Here's AC/DC doing "You Shook Me All Night Long". The video sucks since it's just a bunch of still pictures, but oh well:

For the newbies: To post a YouTube video, put this in brackets: youtube=gqmJBr2issY

And here's a young Don McLean doing "American Pie":

I posted this one in a different thread. It's an a capella version of Bohemian Rhapsody. Not only is it a talented parody but it has science in it.

That is awesome! I love BR, and that is a very creative rendition. Who ever thought science geekery could be so cool. ;)

You know, I'd love to see the Wizard do something like this. Take a classic song and sing it with math-related lyrics. Would generate a lot of buzz!

Here's Bohemian Rhapsody on solo guitar (start at 0:35):

Steve Martin was right. You can't play a sad song on a Banjo. Just can't be done :)

Here's Tanita Tikaram doing an acoustic version of "Twist In My Sobriety".

I remember hearing this song when it came out 25 years ago, and its strange, hypnotic sound really struck me. Plus, she has a (relatively) deep singing voice which makes it even more haunting. Enjoy!
