Being new to this community of gamblers and math wizards, I am very curious about people's take on the following question:

Is there a free will?

If you're thinking now 'WTH, this has nothing to do with gambling', please don't bother to respond.

There is free beer and you can put your beer stash in your will. Does that answer the question?

From the actor's perspective is there any difference between free will and the illusion of free will?

No.

Unless...

Would the knowledge that the free will was an illusion, destroy that illusion?

Try: Crede quod habes, et habes.

Sorry for being a smartass. I might not be to blame, since I might not have a free will.

That version with "Credis" comes from a very specific attraction in Las Vegas. I wonder if anyone else remembers it.

Btw, for the non latin guys:

This means "The credits I have, I have." It was a popular saying among slot players in ancient Rome.

Fun fact: Did you know that the seats at the slot machines in ancient Rome had toilets (sink holes, actually) built in to them? This way, players wouldn't stop gambling on bathroom breaks.
