I am livid. Did I get scammed? I played at Gun Lake Casino in Western Michigan.

I started with $100 dollars. Doubled twice, once with a ten against a 4 and another time with a 9 against a 3. Lost 8 in a row for $100. It took about 9 minutes.

Ouch, that sucks.

I once lost 5 straight hands with a 20 at the old President Casino on the Admiral at the St. Louis Riverfront. I left immediately after that. At the time I wondered if something fishy was going on too. No way to prove it and these situations do happen sometimes.

Happened just last night to me ... on a practice site at five dollars a hand.

I have had players win 10 hands in a row.... Either can happen. It is annoying but in a true BJ game anything is possible.

think thats bad, once the dealer got blackjack 3 hands in a row on me, each time when they were showing a picture, so there was no insurance offer delay.
It was pretty much, check hole card, take money
check hole card, take money
check hole card, take money

annoying part was on the 3rd one i was in box one, so as soon as i saw I had 11 I was getting my chips ready to double against her picture then before I knew it she grabbed my money im like ARGH!
Had 11 losses in a row on a blackjack machine 2 weeks ago.

but in saying that I was a blackjack dealer for several years and have lost count of the amount of times I have seen people go on huge winning streaks.... though you only hear people comment when they get the big losses :)

Probably not. Legitimate losses like this are not as uncommon as you may think.

I have lost/pushed 12 hands in a row about an year ago at the Hollywood Casino in Penn National, Grantville, PA. That was one of the worst casino experiences I will ever remember.

Awww, I miss the President. That was the first time I played Pai Gow. My wife and I played $5 Pai Gow for 8 hours and each lost $20. "You're going to have some fun! President Casino... Yeah!" (The old commercials)

approximately like flipping a coin and getting 8 heads in a row, and you kept betting on tails. In other words completely unexceptional if irritating. Especially if that coin is slightly biased for heads rather than tails. Livid? get over it. No one cheated you.

There are very few casinos that I've been to that made me want to leave faster than the President. It was a dump of a casino who's only redeeming benefit was Spanish 21 (the only one in the St Louis area) and the poker room with windows. Otherwise, I say good riddance!

As to the OP, 8 hands is nothing. It sucks, yes, but that seems to be my luck on BJ lately. I've been running really bad myself, so I feel you on that one.

I'm an experienced card counter who plays only the best games. I've lost more than 8 hands in a row many times and will again probably sooner than later. I never give it a second thought. I doubt that you're being scammed. Nine minutes of play tells us nothing.

Did you bring only $100 to play $10 a hand? That would be telling. If the answer is yes, then you should get a larger bankroll or bet less per hand.

Last month I bought in for $400 at a $25 table, and was at $75 before I won a hand.

45 minutes later I was back to even, and I cashed out. I never thought that it was possible that I was getting cheated.

No scam, just bad cards. Did you leavre after losing $100? i often cash in for half of what I intend to play. In yopur case that's $50. If you lose it, go to another game. Losing fast sucks, but you could have won fast just as easily. Good luck !!!

Yeah, I had a dealer mention to those at the table something about my being a blackjack magnet when I had three blackjacks in the first four hands. It turned out to be a losing session though. That Lady Variance sure is fickle.

I always chuckle to myself when people who might not play too often find it hard to believe that they've lost, "5 hands in a row!?", or the like.

I've lost 17 hands in a row (between 2 different tables) and 22 consecutive "'bets". The 17 between the 2 Blackjack tables, and then 5 DP Craps losers. You have to love gambling sometimes :)

That's nothing. I've lost 14 hands in a row. Won 1 hand and lost the next 7 for a cumulative $200 loss. It happens.
