THEY PASSED IT:- Banks Must Report Safe Deposit Box Contents Over $5,000.(Inspections Begin March 1st) - Finance Reality

I closed my box last year. But keeping casino chips and gambling cash in there will be out of bounds next week. Inventory required on each lease renewal. SARs will be filed for refusal. FinCEN will be getting inventory lists on items exceeding $1,000. The video has more explanations of categories for itemized reporting thresholds.
Safe Deposit boxes at banks have been falling out of favor in the past several years. Banks were getting rid of their boxes, this new regulation will accelerate that trend.

My cash is where I can get my hands on it 24/7 just like in the old days. Grandpa kept his money under his mattress for a reason.

Let's use some sense. Even if this were so, what would stop me from visiting my box, removing everything but my passport and a box of screws, submitting to the inspection and renewing my lease the next day and returning everything as it was?

There's some horrific AI that's going to be poring over bank accounts any month now. If that means anything to you, it means horrific AI.

If it was true according to the video when ever you went to your box you would have to show the contents to the bank person

THEY PASSED IT: New Gold Registration Law Takes Effect March 1st. (Ownership Tracked) - Silver Dollar Collapse - Feb. 20, 2026

Precious Metals Institutions must be registered with FinCEN by March 1st, 2026.
Gold or silver or platinum or palladium transactions of $2K+ must be reported to FinCEN. Aggregate holdings of $50K+ must be reported to FinCEN.
SARs will apply to precious metals.
Failure to register as a precious metals dealer (if you are a dealer) comes with a $5K/day penalty. Failure to report transactions above the thresholds is $25K per violation.
Failure to file aggregate amounts, annual holdings disclosure, has a $10K penalty as well as a criminal referral.
Filing false paperwork is the same as false tax paperwork, imprisonment.

The Bank Secrecy Act has been upheld.

THEY PASSED IT: The New Banking Rule Starts Monday. (Alert) | Dave Ramsey - Feb. 21, 2026

Precious metals have been reclassified from equities to cash status.

AI: Basel III is a set of international safety rules for banks, created after the 2008 financial crisis to prevent future collapses. It forces banks to hold more high-quality capital in reserve and maintain enough liquid assets to survive financial distress. Essentially, it ensures banks are safer and less prone to risky gambling.

If "they" passed "it", can you link to the relevant Federal Register publication?
May the cards fall in your favor.

with Chumpchange's videos, I might check to see if the claims they make are in the news generally. The topic of the first one in this thread is totally missing, haven't checked the other and won't

I kick myself for paying attention to anything ChumpC. posts
the next time Dame Fortune toys with your heart, your soul and your wallet, raise your glass and praise her thus: “Thanks for nothing, you cold-hearted, evil, damnable, nefarious, low-life, malicious monster from Hell!”   She is, after all, stone deaf. ... Arnold Snyder

Sometimes the bizarre stories are clickbait fiction, sometimes they're an early warning.
