Last night I was at the Blackjack table and an Asian lady was dealt a hard 17, promptly got up from her seat and headed to the restroom. The dealer refused to fold her hand or play the hand as is. The pit boss said we all had to wait until she returned. It took 13 minutes for her to finish taking her dump-a-roosky. The dealer ended up with 20 and she lost. They allowed her to continue play without even so much as a warning.

How the FK is this possible? Does this sort of behavior happen often? I've never seen it ... first time ever for me. I don't know how they would let her continue to play.

I'd welcome this every much...If this were to happen to me, she'd be making me $15 in comps for around 15 minutes she is taking a dump. I play black chips...

$100 X 60 hands an hour X 0.01 X 0.25 (15 minutes out of the hour) = $15

That's pretty terrible. I wonder what the casino's play is if a player abandons a hand and its unclear if they're coming back.

Makes for a possible AP move. Bet table max at third and accomplice bets min at first. First time third gets a terrible hand like 16vT, first base runs away screaming before acting. Third demands their bet be pushed back since there's a hand in front with nobody to act on it.

LOL @ $15 for somebody else taking a dump. I'd have asked for a free drink while I was waiting.

AP to the max!

I don't mind waiting. I've been at the craps table when a shooter has been on a long roll and seen lots of guys do the "dance" not wanting to miss out.

Maybe she had to find a computer to check the proper index play....

I know they can pause it. I don't think they can reduce your betting frequencies. I usually play 1 on 1 and I know I hit more than 60 hands an hour. Probably closers to 180 when I have a fast dealer. I've once asked the pit if they can up the number of hands in my rating and I was told no. When I'm tipping, I've had pit bosses giving me a more favorable avg hand knowing I'm playing more hands. Not all pits are nice.

If I was in the Pit or got a call on what to do, I would have considered the hand abandoned, played out the dealer hand and taken her money.

I am an older man, no longer a younger man.

Even on a simple day trip I bring extra underwear.

If you are going to occasionally bet table max, bet with the possibility of splitting to 4 hands and the possibility of doubling all 4, you better have some extra underwear.

Win, or lose ;-)

Had it happen once when I was flooring. Pushed back his bet, allowed the other players to pull out if they wanted. When the player returned, we asked him to leave. He was already near the point of intoxication anyway.

Definitely not waiting for him. In my casino, dealers go for their own tips, and spend 20 min at each table. I won't tolerate a dealer having to spend 13 minutes not dealing because someone decided to walk away from their cards.

If she had to pee for 13 minutes then she has some serious problems. So yeah, I assumed it was the other business.

The proper etiquette would have been to tell someone to play for her while she used the restroom. Though this could backfire on her as I heard a slot player in my local casino asked another slot player that was playing next to her that she had JUST met to watch her slot that had $500.00 in credits to watch it for her while she went to the restroom. When she came back, the man was gone, and so was her money! How hard is it to cash out while you do your business? SMH. On second thought, the lady in the Blackjack game should have just held it in until the hand was finished out of respect etiquette, manners, and common courtesy.
Really, dude, you tried to buy a flat screen TV for only $3.99? Get out of here, you scam, con arist!
