At 3CP yesterday a player was betting $5 on all three spots in addition to that he periodically bet $5 for the dealer on the PP.

Well the player got a flush and at this measly casino it pays 3:1 so the PP should have paid $15 for the player and $15 for the dealer. But, no this dealer paid $30 for the player and $30 for himself.

Now this dealer was happily taking my money and at times trying to underpay me. I think he doesn't like me for some reason. For example he would kind of smirk when taking my money.

I struggled on what to do and I know you never go against another player when considering payments. But, I felt like saying something to the pit boss and letting them handle it after that. So I quietly told the pit boss that the dealer overpaid himself. I never stated it was done purposely. The original player was losing fast and I thought by the time they reviewed the tapes that he'd be gone and that the only correction would be towards the dealer.

Fact is they took a while but they corrected it. They took $15 out of the dealers tip box and to $15 from the player. I don't think the player knew I started this but now I feel bad. But I guess the money was never theirs in the first place.

If I had a problem with it I would get up and walk away. I don't work for the Casino and it's not my job to do such things.

What if the pit boss had exploded and fired the dealer? Would you still feel good about it?

What if the player got angry and pulled out a gun at the casino? Would you pee your pants?

I'd stay out of it if its none of your business , especially when no HARM is actually done.

I guess all that matters is that you felt happy with yourself after such a heroic act saving the poor Casino!

You had nothing to gain. All the money they take goes upstairs anyways.

No harm in overpaying himself? He should know the payouts just saying. Perhaps this is not the first time he's done this.

How about the fact that he tried to underpay me and other players?

when it directly relates to your underpayment of course you should say something. duh.

edit: OR are you saying because he tried to underpay you and others you decided to rat him out?
