At work I use an older WinXP PC (that's Windows XP operating system). I tend to ahve anywhere from 4 to 8 windows going at the same time. For some reason, whenever something happens in a window, say a program finishes opening a document, or a browser engages a wensite, that window jumps to the foreground, some even if they are minimized.
This is very annoying, as sometimes I'll intend to click on one and wind up doing so in another. Or I'll ahve to re-minimize a window, or toherwise interrupt what I'm doing to take care of it.
Any idea what can be done about it? I recall Win95/98 had an option for keeping such windows in the background, but I can't find the same option for XP. For the record, my Vista PC at home doesn't do this things (it does other things, though...)
