I read on wizard of odds that the differences between the house ways for how the casinos are marginal. Does anyone know how marginal? I can't find anywhere online that actually breaks down the difference in the house edge for each type of house way. I have to figure that there is some difference, otherwise why would there be variations. No reason to play on a table that uses a slightly worse edge for me if there is a better one across the street.

The wizard of odds Pai Gow Poker page lists numerous house ways, but not the house edge precentages or rankings.
To the best of my knowledge, you cannot find such info online, and any casino or card room may change it house way at any time.

The slight variations in house ways are the reasons that I almost always stick with the 9/15 rule when I set my hand. There are times when I will vary (gut feeling, and all that BS)... but I have had good success sticking with that rule in my hands.

I think we can all agree on some things that make a weak houseway:

-blindly keeping two low pairs together
-blindly playing the 2 pair rule, even through a straight or flush with AK or AQ

Many Vegas casinos play these weak rules. Most other casinos do not. I have no idea what the difference in HE actually is because of these rules, but I know that the difference exists. So I'm happy to play in a casino with a weak and simple houseway whenever I visit Vegas.
