Quote: ThatDonGuyI used to take toiletries from pretty much every hotel I was in, but only because I work at an Army installation and there was an effort to collect and send them to troops overseas. Apparently, not only is that still "a thing," but at least two organizations promote it (Operation Shoebox, and Operation Care & Comfort).
The army doesn't provide soap and toothpaste to troops overseas? If not that's pretty messed up.
Quote: AxelWolfBody lotion? What guy would steal that? I can honestly say I have never used any lotion on anything(other than testing it on my hands once or twice) unless it was sunscreen, medicated or something like Noxzema for sun burns or bag balm for injuries.
A guy who doesn’t like having dry skin?
I see guys using lotion all the time at the gym. Didn’t realize it was controversial.
It's no controversial, just an observation. I have never had a problem with dry skin so perhaps that's why I find it odd. Personally, I don't like the feeling of anything but that squeaky clean feel on my skin.Quote: ams288A guy who doesn’t like having dry skin?

Continued happy lotioning.
p.s. I probably wouldn't notice the guys using lotion.
Quote: ams288Not stealing, but this was my haul from my last stay at the Wynn.
Those soaps and shampoos are huge and very high quality. I’m still using them here at home.
Interesting, these are the razors we took from the last trip at Encore staying in a suite but never got around to even using, which is why I don't generally take anything anymore it usually ends up getting thrown out.

point being that the ones you got look rather low end - I wonder if they put nicer silver-handled razors in the Tower Suites, or maybe the razors on the Encore side are simply different from Wynn?
As far as the Wynn/Encore shampoos and conditioners yes I will agree they seem to be higher quality than usual for a hotel, but not exactly Pureology level or anywhere close to salon quality, so we don't bother with taking any. Have you noticed how in the last six months or so they started writing in Chinese on the toiletries, such that they are able to just have one private label made to distribute whether in Wynn Vegas or Wynn Macau.

I could be remembering incorrectly but I'm pretty sure we had to buy all our own stuff from the PX while deployed.
I have always had very dry hands. So bad so in the winter my hands crack and bleed. It’s gotten better since I was a kid. So I like the small bottles and have them in my carry on, car etc. If the first ingredient is water or glycerin then it’s no good. I just use those throughout the day then use a high quality lotion with aloe or cocoa butter at night.Quote:Body lotion? What guy would steal that? As for the rest of it, I have occasionally taken complimentary shampoo bottles. I routinely take pens because I lose them all the time. But that's about it. If you're living a hard-scrabble existence, which I did in my youth, I think there's understandable motivation to do some petty poaching, but otherwise - not really.
Hotels have signs that say that they will charge for missing items. I guess it isnt working?
I went to an extended stay. I had to goto the front desk for silverware and cooking pans. And they charge for that.
I am not poor But the cost of rent has doubled I already factored inflation. Tuition increased 900%. Over the last 30 years. 400% after inflation. A min wage worker might be better off in russia. Am i wrong?.
