Any experts about Washington? Chip guide lists a Happy Days casino in Lakewood as open but the website does not work. Casino city does not list this casino at all and a google search comes up pretty empty. Does this place exist?

You asked a while back about hotels. I haven't been up there in too long, but the area around the airport was NOT anywhere you wanted to be, back in the day. I would think you'd want to book nearer to Tacoma, and catch the casinos north of the airport first, then work your way south to Tacoma area.
Miplet lives up there somewhere. I thought perhaps he could give you a more current idea.

Oh really. That is interesting. Normally airport area is my goto for hotels. I cant recall those areas ever being a bad area.

I live between Tacoma and Seattle. Happy Days did close about 3 years ago. The airport area is safe but there is nothing there for tourists. There are a few small casinos / card rooms within 5 miles of the airport. You will find four mini-casinos near I-5 in south Tacoma. Great American, Macau, Chips, and the Palace. North of Tacoma is the native casino, Emerald Queen which is reopening in a new building next year, but you will find two separate buildings, one at the Puyallup exit, and one (machines only) at the Fife exit of I-5.

Thank you GEO. It appears that the casinos in WA are mostly smaller ones. There is one in a bowling alley and a few that look like they are in a restaurant (Not like normal when a restarant is in a casino)

On the tribal front, the three closest to the airport would include Muckleshoot, Emerald Queen (both to the south) and Snoqualmie (to the east on I-90) all of those are within 30 miles of Seatac. Snoqualmie is currenlty the nicest, but Muckleshoot is adding a hotel and huge remodel and EQC is going to an entirely new facility come December.
Silver Dollar Seatac is a typically WA card room and is literally on the main street that runs outside the airport (International Blvd.). Other card rooms that are close include those mentioned in Tukwila as well as the Great American Casino at the Four Points Hotel by Sheraton in Des Moines (that is about 4 miles south of the airport). The Great American card room properties (Tukwila & Des Moines are the two closest) have been taken over by Maverick Gaming in 2019, so not sure if they will have GA chips or be switched over to Maverick).
Maverick also took over the Macau (closest in Tukwila for you) and Casino Caribbean properties (closest in Kirkland and where Lucky Stiff Blackjack got its start in 2014!). Also taken over by Maverick is Crazy Moose (Mountlake Terrace) north of Seatac by about 30 miles (any trip north, you are going to need to time as driving through Seattle is a bear).
If time/traffic is a factor, I would rule out going north and hit all the Seatac/Tukwila/Des Moines properties (like 6 of them), go south to Emerald Queen and Muckleshoot and maybe do a trip East to Casino Caribbean & Snoqualmie (avoiding Seattle, but Caribbean would require going through Bellevue). How bad is traffic in Seattle in the evening. I am still putting my plan together but I was thinking of going (this is off the top of my head looking at google maps, list is at home)

The one thing that I can not determine is how long I will be in each casino. I dont have the same rule as some of you where I have to wager the $1, I just have to get it from the casino. Normally when there is a big six or craps table it is easy to do. On these tiny casinos it might be a little tougher, not sure if there will be a good spot to just pick up a chip. If I have to sit down and play or anything then I won't be able to hit as many.
I have 32 places on my list. Drive time with no traffic is 3 hours. Even if I spend 10 minutes at each that is 5 hours plus 3 for driving. If I get in rental car at 5pm then that puts me back to my hotel at 1am and that is no traffic, not getting lost, and only spending 10 min at each. Depending on parking and walking from lot that may be way under estimated. If I drop the northern casinos it will only cut out 8 from my list but will cut an hour of drive time. Looking at the current traffic delays it looks like both sides are heavy with Bellevue and Seattle areas having some red spots on the map.
I just read your Roxys review and it made me laugh that you had a hard time cashing out because the cashier kept stepping away. I am guessing at places like this it is going to take me longer to get the chip and I might actually have to play.

I am so pissed. Spent a lot of time the last 2 days trying to figure out my route. The reason I am going to this area is to meet a new client. Today this client called and setup a dinner meeting with me, him, and 2 of his friends that may need my service. Now I have to spend $300 on a dinner and cut my chip collecting short. We have not set the dinner spot yet so I am thinking about suggesting a place that would fit on my path. Maybe 7pm near Tukwila if there are restaurants near there.

I used to be really active on the chip guide and chip board. On the chip board we used to have a yearly poker league. Not sure if they still do it. I won in 2011 or 2012, cant remember which. I have a trophy still sitting on my desk. I thought it was much more accurate than it appears to be.

They do still have the poker league. I dont participate much at all on the board (I think Ive posted 3-4 times over all these years) but I visit it daily for casino news reasons. They always seem to know first about name changes or new casinos.

My only concern would be not waking up.
The part that makes it tough is meeting in Tacoma. My route was mostly between airport and tacoma. I dont want to backtrack.

Ended up with 14 chips last night. Started to get tired around 10 so went to hotel with plans of hitting the local ones before my meeting. I wake up at 3am without alarm so I check out and head to first one. Head to palace casino. As I pull in I see 3 cars all with frost so they have been there all night. Sign says 24 hours. I walk in and the only people there was a cleaning person and security guard. SG tells me that tables dont open until 8, cashier doesnt open until 730, and bar/food not until 9. So its 330 and nothing opens for 4 more hours. Wtf are they even open for. Decided to head to emerald casino and played craps/bj/slots for 3 hours. Ended up down $70 for the trip so far including cost of chips

Planning my Asia trip for the new year and Im looking into casinos in the Philippines... omg. I always forget how aggravating planning casino routes abroad are. It took me the last 90 minutes to put together lists for two cities and I already had most of the casino names already. This was trying to make sure Im not missing anything and seeing what is still open. Im debating whether I want to deal with Manila tonight as there are so many casinos.

Just booked my flight. Flying in to Bradley at 9am, driving to springfield for a 11am meeting. Then flying home 7am Friday. I will have the evening. As far as I can tell the only casino in the area is the new mgm one in springfield. Does anyone know if there is anything that I am missing?
