What do you Vegas locals do on NYE? The Wiz and Zippy and
JB and others, do you go out? 300,000 people are supposed
to be there tomorrow, I can't imagine a bigger pain in the ass.
Everything is priced higher, rooms, drinks, meals, shows.
How can you have a good time when its elbow to elbow..

I've worked the last six New Years' Eves, and even out in Henderson, places are jumping. It does tail off a lot quicker in Henderson, though.
Personally, I avoid extreme crowds. Coming from NYC, I used to watch the ball drop in Times Square from the safety and relative sobriety from my living room's TV. I also go shopping on Tuesday mornings, see shows on Wednesday night, generally avoiding the masses and the traffic.
My brother Bob is coming into town on the 1st, as crowds are leaving. Smart man.

When I had the bar, I hated New Years. We had to
stay open till 4am and there's nothing worse than
being around a bunch of drunks when you're sober.
I haven't gone out on NYE for 30 years, its amateur
night.

100% true. There's safety in avoiding numbers, as they are a target for trouble.

I'm an EvenBob protege. I'm 29 going on 72 because I've never gone out on NYE. I've been hit by a drunk driver and it wasn't fun.

Dude, don't hit me with your cain or anything ;) I'm not saying you're 72. I'm just saying I sometimes feel like I am because I don't partake in some of the activies that are common to younger folks.

I'm in town and also looking for something to do that doesn't involve 350,000 drunk monkeys on the Strip. Was thinking a concert or show; John Legend at the Palms looks good.

Never been out NYE.
Never plan to go out NYE.
Just another night, and crowds never were my thing.
Best way to combing Vegas and NYE is watch the Sinatra version of "Ocean's 11."
