Halloween is right around the corner. Do casinos allow players to wear masks and/or gloves? I would think it would create issues for security.

if you're planning to play poker in your lobster suit again, I'd set aside some bail money.Quote: AyecarumbaHalloween is right around the corner. Do casinos allow players to wear masks and/or gloves? I would think it would create issues for security.

Rats. Oh well, it was hard to pick up the cards with the overstuffed claws anyways.

I was in the Sahara on Halloween for Vegoose 2006 (my first time in Vegas, didn't really see anything except the Sahara for the cheap room and the music festival). I believe they requested to have hats and masks removed, but only at the tables. I was in my 'A Clockwork Orange' outfit so had to remove my derby when attempting to learn (and fail miserably at) Blackjack. It was another of those 'if only I knew then what I know now' moments.

Funny the subject of costumes in casinos should come up; I just found an Imperial Palace matchbook in one of my old purses earlier today. They've got costumed dealers if you don't mind playing the sucker tables. Not just for Halloween, either.
But there are way more fun places on the Strip to hang out, with or without costumes.

I know the have the rule of no masks, but I'm surprised they would say no hats. That would not fly during rodeo week.

Last year, I was downtown for Halloween, and only Fitzgeralds seemed to care about costumes. I don't know why, but there was security outside turning away anyone in any kind of costume.

Hat brims hide faces and prevent tracking movement thru the casino. When everyone is wearing a ten gallon hat and looks like a Texas Ranger, surveillance probably goes crazy.

Nah, hats we're used to. Just about every college aged kid wears a ball cap, and being that I'm in the sticks, cowboy hats aren't uncommon.
But is you're wearing a giant foam college mascot head, or you're a bandito with a 4 foot sombrero, you gotta take it off.
