With Gabe Kaplan and Phil Ivey, Tom Dwan, Patrik Antonius, Sammy Farha, Mike Matusow gone from the show, its awful. And that douche bag Norm MacDonald isn't half as good as Kaplan. Its so boring its unwatchable now.

I can't find any reason Kaplan quit. Very odd. Maybe he got fired..

My opinion.
Watching poker is extremely boring. Somehow poker exploded on ESPN because the prize pools were so extreme. People were watching with the format where you see the hole cards. So people began watching tournament poker. All that tournament poker lost its edge and became boring... then High Stakes Poker came along and it was entertaining. Real money. Cash game. Huge pots. It has been 7 seasons already, and now it is no big deal to watch people make 20,000$+ bets .... it has just lost it's flavor.
There are poker celebrities (I don't consider most people there true poker 'players') that make it entertaining, but you are being entertained by the celebrity, not the poker.

I'm thrilled that they got rid of AJ. But, frankly, if the choice was AJ & Gabe or Norm, sigh, I'd take AJ & Gabe.
Personally, I think they should get rid of everyone except Kara Scott. Have her just do the show opening comments, and those brief little interviews. The rest of the show, let's just listen to the players.

Looks like they decided that the show needed a make-over. Anybody got an idea what the ratings are with the new

I'd turn it on as background noise when I was up late waiting for the laundry, and it was hard enough to take when it was just Gabe talking to himself, but Norm has this monotonous drone that puts me to sleep.
Each of us is entitled to his own opinion, but not to his own facts.
Preparing for a fight about your bad decision is not as smart as making a good decision.
