Play 4800 hands of 25c single-line 10/7DB ($6000 coin-in)
OR
Play 3 hours of tracked craps play ($5 flat with 3/4/5x odds; $30 average, yes they rate me high)
I know that 10/7DB is 100% payback, however, craps with 3/4/5x odds has a very slim house advantage.
The comps for both are:
$75 every other week in free slot play (which I can and have sucked out as $75 pure cash many times)
OR
$400 promo chips every other week (which no matter how I slice it, I only seem to get $200 pure cash each time)
Obviously you get more promo chips for the craps play...however, I think it TAKES more money to put in the craps play...
Quote: TIMSPEEDBoth of these will earn $15 a day on comps...my quandry is which should I do. (I HAVE done both, but I'm wondering if I should do one more than the other)

Take the promo chips, use them for max free odds. Or hardways if you are feeling adventerous.
However, the better way to play them is at PaiGowPoker...they do not charge commission on them, and I can bank every other hand, for a 0% HA.

If there are any other players at the table at all, you'd have an advantage at the PGP table.

Yeah, but with the promo chips I don't think they'd let me bank AGAINST other players, because then technically the house would have to pay them off.
Yes, this needs to be your first question. Second question: Do you know the exact strategy for DB? If yes, I would play the video poker. However, craps sounds more like your game, and you will experience about the same bankroll swings as you would with DB. So keep playing craps unless you want to get the "maximum expected return," in which case learn the strategy for DB.Quote: FleaStiffFirst question: Which do you enjoy more?
Edit: The $400 promo chips is worth more than the $75 free play, so I would definitely continue the craps game. You can't really believe it takes a lot of BR to bet $5 and lay $15-25 behind it, do you?
Over the course of one 9 hour day, I've lost $1500. ($500 per 3 hour session)
EDIT: Looking back, playing craps I make $5 an hour in comps...playing video poker, to accomplish the same thing, I'd have to play $5 a hand at 400hph (which is a very leisurely pace)
