Actually, this is not as bad as it sounds.
The governor is not against internet gambling. He just has concerns with some of the details of the bill, and that's why he vetoed it.
As a NJ resident who is eagerly awaiting legalized internet gambling, I'm happy for the veto. Put together a better bill, one with more consumer protections, and then approve it!

We should only allow internet gambling at casinos owned in the US. Otherwise we'll be sending billions out of the country and thats the last thing we nee right now. And only companies that have a land based casino can own on online casino.

Might be hard to do the first part without getting a fair-trade sanction. To the second, wouldn't be totally against that but would like to see any legitimate company get a shot at a license. Just so the games are fair and they pay as fast as they collect.

Hmm, without any actual trade sanctions, the government could legalize all online casino gambling no matter where it comes from, but only certify as fair American based companies. (mu ha ha ha). Well, that sounds like a good (somewhat evil) plan to me.
