Win/Loss statements

I got creamed on my last trip to the casino, to the point where I dumped my entire entertainment budget for the month, out of frustration. I can't go to the casino again until payday, which is Friday thank goodness.
So I thought I'd go over my win/loss statements for the last few years, and rethink this whole gambling thing. For all the times it's felt like I couldn't win, AND all the times I felt like I couldn't lose, it's always kind of felt like it's evened out...
2010, I lost $598.
2009, I won $934.
2008, I lost $1364.
2007, I lost $1349.
2006, I WON $5647. (This was the year I got the two 3 of a Kinds back to back at 3 Card, betting quarters; I also got a couple straight flushes, again betting quarters, and hit some $1000 pays on slots. And I learned to play craps.)
2005, I lost $1444.
This list is not comprehensive, I'm sure I've missed some casinos where I've lost. But you know what? I'm pretty close to even, I think.

I'm fond of saying some things:
1)The cards, and dice, and wheels, have no memory.
2)If I wanted to make money, I'd have gone to work instead.
We'll do good. We'll have fun. We can gamble anywhere, but we can meet and have fun here and now. Sometimes I'm lucky as hell.

Very impressive, you must have a lot of self control.
However, you didn't mention turnover, so we don't know if you are in the same league as the Wizard.

I take what I can afford. When it's gone, it's gone. Have I overbet? Sure as hell last Saturday I did. But I just wanted to see how many hands I could lose in a row.

I have gotten win/loss statements in the past from many casinos. The numbers seem to be pulled from the air. Do they make them up for their own reasons? The pit people report wins and losses as they desire. Sometimes the reported wins and losses are just plain silly and so far from the actual numbers that I do not even look at them.
