Agreed. He did make good contributions. His Nemesis is in a similar way--some good stuff but just does way too much trolling. I dunno ... MKL didn't get suspended while Jerry was away. Not that he was any less aggressive or trollish during that time, just always managed to stay just on "this" side of Wizard's line, I guess. MKL once said he'd leave if a majority of people voted for him to leave, but of course he backed off on that once the votes went against him.
Wizard may change his mind re: banning MKL for the betterment of the forum, but that's his call.

Just as much a bully in his own way. I don't regret calling out JL for his bullying, but it really was a case of two bullies going at it.
For example:
An anti-smoking activist spots a man smoking on the street. He aproaches him and says:
"Good morning, sir. Would you mind if I asked you some questions?"

"Thank you. How long have you been smoking?"
"Oh, perhaps forty years or so."

"Do you smoke?"
"No."
"Do you own that building accross thre street?"
"No."

Am I reading right that the post that caused MKL's suspension is this one: "I didn't copy anything from anywhere else, but go ahead and be a Jerryhole and say that I did." If so, I'm liking the irony that the personal insult involved is "Jerryhole."

Thats not what they want. Thats why Jerry and MKL didn't get along, they were too much alike. They have to be able to hold reign on a forum all by themselves to get the maximum effect from their incendiary remarks.

JL certainly wanted to be cock of the walk... you only had to see his remarks on any thread... even to the extent where he'd say he didn't understand the topic, or have any interest in it.

Yes. What we really saw happening between Jerry and MKL is a battle of the Troll's. They both want this turf as their own, and they won't stand anybody taking attention away from them. Why do you think MKL has so many posts, probably more than anybody here. Its all about 'pay attention to ME, I'm whats important here'. When Jerry is around, its sucks all the air out of MKL's sails. I'm sure he's beside himself with glee that Jerry has been banned. Now he can rule unchallenged. I've seen many many of these types of people in the last 20 years online, dealing with them just wears you out, so you learn to ignore them or go elsewhere.
