And casinos lowering RTP on AP'able machines makes it much harder to make a decent $/hr.
Note: I suspect some casinos are setting AP traps by setting these games to the minimum RTP allowed.
Last decade, I started playing vp as a cheap way to get Tier benefits. (Thx to Queen of Comps)
Then discovered scarab/OM/etc to make a couple of bucks while reaching the Tier but still playing vp for most of the pts.
Then AP for all the points needed.
Now, the pendulum has swung the other way and I had to play a little vp to make Tier this year.
And I predict i need to play more and more vp to make Tier as the years go by
Quote: acesideI noticed the casino I often played had reduced the amount of slot machines on their floor. This trend has been going on for the last five years.

Reduced?
They're putting more tables, Which means better RTP (less casino profit) and more employees???

A number of casinos I've seen are just increasing space between the machines.
Older machines - presumably owned by the casino - are still plentiful, but the newer machines (presumably leased) are not as prevalent.

Does anyone know if she is still alive? I know she left Vegas many years ago and I think I remember hearing that Bob passed away.
Has anyone seen the documentary her granddaughter made about her?
Yes she’s still alive. She was posting a blog on LVA but stopped about a year ago.Quote: DRichQuote: 100xOdds

There was a Casino luring APs with an INCREDIBLE promotion, something like,"Get $1,000 free play for just $100 coin in! " Of course, the APs FLOCKED to that promotion... And the Casinos permanently trespassed the APs who went to the promotion. 😱😳

How would they know who was an AP and who was just a regular person that wanted a good deal?

IIRC they were purposely monitoring suspected AP and purposely luring them into the INCREDIBLE promotion and kicking them out when they came to the promotion.💡

But wouldn't anyone show up for that? Spend $100 coin in, get $1000 Freeplay would just prove most people enjoy a giveaway.

I have to assume some people collected more efficiently than others, and reaped what rewards the house was bestowing.

Well not so fast. I honestly thought the Oceans offer was being discussed but the details were wrong. But the original quote says the description was "something like that" so perhaps they just don't remember.
Oceans offered reimbursement (in Freeplay) of a lot of money. I want to say $100,000 if I remember correctly. And a lot of people "lost" that without actually losing it (the AP play) and Oceans reneges, kept what money they actually collected and trespassed the AP's
what you are describing is a believable loss rebate screnario...Quote: darkozQuote: odiousgambitI am making other assumptions revolving around whether somebody, who shall remain nameless, is just making stuff up

Before Ocean the casino was called the Revel. It was a Revel loss rebates promotion. Search under Revel. Sorry about that.
There's definitely a couple of old threads right here on WOV referring to the Revel debacle

Any of the truly handsome promotions seem to carry a real risk of not getting paid out. Methods often include bankruptcy, closure, sale, trespassing, Curaçao...
Best of luck. Proceed with caution.

Well, for years, the only way to dispute a disagreement with a Curaçao based online casino was to file a claim with their gaming enforcement agency.
They didn't have an established gaming enforcement agency as of what..

Speaking of $100 promotion, Gulfstream Park Casino had a "Play $100 and get $100 back in free play!" Promotion, a 100 percent match bonus. 😀 A VERY lucrative promotion. 😀
