sadly, Jim Croce died at age 30 in a plane crash

many of his songs tell a story - this one is my fave of his -

That was the song that introduced him to the general public, making him an overnight success after years of hard work.
He was a fantastic songwriter, although Steve Goodman wrote my favorites of his.
Gone way too soon.
There is a two-man band in Tucson called Juan and Diego who play Latin versions of Croce and John Denver songs. It's a strange combo but it works.
