During an interview with the Las Vegas Review-Journal last June, he was asked if he wanted to address the gambling rumors that had been circulating on the internet.

“Absolutely not! I love the lore that I am a Las Vegas lounge singer in debt to the mob. I can work with that,” Mars said.

Rumored he was 50 million in debt.

Do they let celebrities gamble on the house just for publicity but make an agreement that only recognize a certain amount of losses. Is that even legal? I mean, the idea makes sense. Watching a celebrity gamble large bundles of cash is a form of entertainment for some, and something you can say you saw on your Vegas vacation. I don’t think anyone is worth 50 million in publicity though, so it would have to be not real.

I don't think that would be done often if at all. They don't want people standing around and watching, they want those bodies actually gambling. I have played Blackjack with O,J, Simpson and Cindy Crawford. O.J. was a nasty drunk at the table. Cindy was doing a promotional shoot at the table I was at so I doubt she was using her own money.
You can't know everything, but you can know anything.
