Are there people who never feel a sense that a win is about to happen? I assume the Wizard wouldn't gamble based on hunches, but that doesn't mean he doesn't feel any kind of expectation after a certain amount of time.

So, are there people who never experience such a sensation?

Where I would get concerned is with anyone who doesn't believe that he will win. And there are actually people like that who know that there is no way the session will end other than with a loss.

Of course I am referring more to the over all session than say, a single hand.

The single most thrilling thing in the world is to gamble and win. The second most thrilling is to gamble and lose.
I tell you it’s wonderful to be here, man. I don’t give a damn who wins or loses. It’s just wonderful to be here with you people. https://wizardofvegas.com/forum/gambling/betting-systems/33908-the-adventures-of-mdawg/

There is still an element of uncertainty; "how long can I make it last tonight?"

Plenty of people I meet are buying entertainment, rather than trying to gamble as a business.
May the cards fall in your favor.

A scientist who did the experiment says it works. And to be true to science, those of us who have not done the experiment don't get to say he's wrong, until we have something better to back that assertion up. Best we can do is point out some methodological error, which would indicate the experiment is not telling us what the experimenter claims it is.

So yes, tentatively, I believe in hunches and that ESP can work. However... I do not know how to access it or apply it. So until I can, I will stick with good old fashioned effects of removal and Kelly betting.
