Quote: VegasriderI can't believe I'm asking this question considering I have lived in Vegas for over a decade but honestly I haven't been back to that city for about a decade and I know the city has changed. I have some family members from Australia visiting in July and they are making a stop in Vegas. They will not have a rental car but want to stay on the strip. The Aria or Bellagio might be out of their budget. Any suggestions? They don't gamble. The only thing going in their favor, It will be July! The worst time to visit.
Thanks,

Also a lot of selection of Meth dealers in the parking lot.

Monte Carlo?
How about Bill's Gambling hall
Maybe Ballys or the Alladin with the spice market buffet

Going by that list I sent you, if it's in the middle of the month, consider the Paris. Also, I've never had problems with Planet Hollywood.

Aladdin closed (became PH) 2007.
The Spice Market was actually a good buffet, but it closed during the pandemic shutdown and did not reopen.
Well, if something like Tuscany won't work then you just gotta search for the cheapest deals at the less than prime Vegas Strip resorts. Among them probably Treasure Island with its $99. deals is probably something to be considered. Treasure Island doesn't even have feather pillows - we stayed in one of their largest suites a few years ago and found that out. TI was definitely much better when Wynn or MGM owned it.

Whereas Bill's is still open? I believe that mentioning Aladdin and Bill's was in response to the previous post saying "Monte Carlo."
As for Spice Market, the one time I went there, I had a piece of meat that was so rare, it was still on four legs.
Aladdin itself, the new Aladdin that opened in 2000, was trying to be upscale, what with the London Room high limit gaming on the mezzanine floor (I actually dated one of the dealers there for a bit, and those low cut royal blue dresses the girls wore were part of what got my attention), and the London Club restaurant with three types of cuisine (Continental European, Middle Eastern and Asian), also Elements and the Tremezzo Italian restaurant.
The Elements spa was really good too, and had the best steam room on the Strip by far - pour just some drops of water on the thermostat and the thing filled with so much hot steam you couldn't see and had to cover your ears and private parts to keep from getting scalded.
New Aladdin revives mystique of original
Once Planet Hollywood took over they gave up trying to cater to the high end. Last time I was in there in 2023, I think there was nothing on the mezzanine floor at all.
That property just has had issues and bad luck since it was demolished and rebuilt. One problem was that when they rebuilt it the vehicular access was only via Harmon. I assume people sometimes pull into Paris thinking that is the entrance, and just give up on it. Even the pedestrian access off the Strip isn't directly flow through, you have to walk up all those steps.
