I’m not sure why I’m on their mailing list, but TCS JohnHuxley, the leader in roulette wheels, announced their new website.

Big yawn.

Except for this little part:

Having a zero in every quarter seems to add balance to the wheel.

If there was an adjustment to the payout for example quadruple zero with 37:1 return maybe.

On another note the NY casinos that installed triple zero roulette have removed them. They received almost zero play, no pun intended.

My local casino had a triple 0 machine and it was usually more packed than the double 0 machine. Too much riff raff at the double 0 machine, so the richer people played the triple 0 machine. But after several months and new management, the triple 0 machine has been taken out for a bank of slot machines that typically have a grand JP of over $20K.

Machines just give you a TITO. Actual tables never let you take roulette chips to the cage. If you had regular chips, you HAD them,.

Reminds me of the time my father actually did take table chips from a roulette table - okay, it was over 50 years ago, but still...

I guess I should have said that the email audience is casino management. The user they’re talking about is the dealer/casino.

Lets see if zero in every quarter or grouped like in triple zero wheel.
Looks like players accepted grouped zeros (0-000-00) or (o-Logo-00) sector FOR TRIPLE ZERO
I’d rather have to be a lucky player than good one.

At the TCS John Huxley booth, which makes a quadruple-zero wheel, at the 2024 Global Gaming Expo they told me the Marina Bay Sands casino in Singapore installed one of their quadruple-zero wheels.

Yet again you can make all the jokes you want about this then eventually it happens.

Then again, if you willingly play a 0000 game maybe the casino can spend your money better than you can?

I feel the same way about 00 wheels. Every time I walk by one in a casino I find it hard to believe anyone is playing.

Is it possible these 0000 wheels will have a ‘sweetener’ like you only lose 1/2 your R/B or O/E money on those bets when a 0 comes up?

The manufacturer just needs to add captivating sound effects and call it a "penny slot".
May the cards fall in your favor.

The wheel appears more symmetrical, with a zero in each quadrant. It's long overdue.

More zeroes is better!

I'm not going to play roulette no matter how many zeroes there are so they may as well load em up and pay those bills

Quadruple zero?

What's next?

Quintuple zero? Even money payout on blackjack? Removing all the queens from the deck in blackjack? Increased vig on the sports wagers? 15% rake on cash games in poker rooms?

I am hearing reports of $37 for a glass of wine and $89 for a steak on the Vegas strip.

Maybe we should be discussing this trend in the Extinction Event thread?

How many zeroes would it take to equal the EV of the very popular instant pull tab lottery games (-50% in my state)? I'm too lazy to do the math because it's so absurd, but perhaps 30 or so zeroes(?). Maybe it's time to start using green letters A-Z rather than trying to fit so many zeroes on roulette stops.

How about a wheel with three equal colors- black, red and green. When it lands on green, half the winnings go to the state educational fund..

I'm still waiting for Zero Zero to go mainstream.
36 stops, 25 to 1.

Here is my new page on Bonus Wheel, the side bet on the four gems. The video and article referred to earlier are unclear about whether the pays on the Bonus Wheel are on a "to one" or "for one" basis. Based on the claimed house edge of 9.25%, they are on a "for one" basis. If you can call these bets a side bet, they are a rare case where a side bet is a better value than the base game. However, much like lottery tickets, I think anyone playing this doesn't care about the odds.

As to the $89 steak, that sounds about right for a nice restaurant on the Strip. My rule of thumb is to expect to pay close to $200 for a nice meal in Vegas these days.

36 zeros. How about this: a roulette wheel with 18 red, 18 black, 18 green (numbered 37-54) and 18 white spots (numbered 55-72). Standard pay table (35:1 for one spot, even money for one color) = house edge 50%.
