Big yawn.
Except for this little part:

On another note the NY casinos that installed triple zero roulette have removed them. They received almost zero play, no pun intended.

Reminds me of the time my father actually did take table chips from a roulette table - okay, it was over 50 years ago, but still...
I guess I should have said that the email audience is casino management. The user they’re talking about is the dealer/casino.Quote: AZDuffman"Improved user experience"----less hassle carrying all those cheques to the cage?

Looks like players accepted grouped zeros (0-000-00) or (o-Logo-00) sector FOR TRIPLE ZERO

Yet again you can make all the jokes you want about this then eventually it happens.
Then again, if you willingly play a 0000 game maybe the casino can spend your money better than you can?

I feel the same way about 00 wheels. Every time I walk by one in a casino I find it hard to believe anyone is playing.
Is it possible these 0000 wheels will have a ‘sweetener’ like you only lose 1/2 your R/B or O/E money on those bets when a 0 comes up?

The manufacturer just needs to add captivating sound effects and call it a "penny slot".

I'm not going to play roulette no matter how many zeroes there are so they may as well load em up and pay those bills
What's next?
Quintuple zero? Even money payout on blackjack? Removing all the queens from the deck in blackjack? Increased vig on the sports wagers? 15% rake on cash games in poker rooms?
I am hearing reports of $37 for a glass of wine and $89 for a steak on the Vegas strip.
Maybe we should be discussing this trend in the Extinction Event thread?

I'm still waiting for Zero Zero to go mainstream.
36 stops, 25 to 1.

For a steak? I just heard $89 for a flipping pizza!
As to the $89 steak, that sounds about right for a nice restaurant on the Strip. My rule of thumb is to expect to pay close to $200 for a nice meal in Vegas these days.
Quote: dcjohnHow many zeroes would it take to equal the EV of the very popular instant pull tab lottery games (-50% in my state)? I'm too lazy to do the math because it's so absurd, but perhaps 30 or so zeroes(?). Maybe it's time to start using green letters A-Z rather than trying to fit so many zeroes on roulette stops.

36 zeros. How about this: a roulette wheel with 18 red, 18 black, 18 green (numbered 37-54) and 18 white spots (numbered 55-72). Standard pay table (35:1 for one spot, even money for one color) = house edge 50%.
