A quick Google search at work that led me to multiple Twitter, FaceBook and Montreal Candian Social media feeds shows that the Montreal Canadians were in Montreal Thursday night for the game. Then left for Tampa Bay, from Montreal, on Sunday.

I'm willing to offer a small wager for anyone who can prove me otherwise. I am 99.9% sure my findings are accurate!

They would have had to take a flight or flights Friday morning. Partied Friday night. On Saturday, they would have had to leave fairly early, also considering they were “losing” 3 hours flying east. That gets them back to Montreal Saturday night…Sunday morning they leave for Tampa.

This, of course also assumes that the team knew about this and “excused” players from practice from the Friday to Sunday time period.

It’s safe to say something isn’t right. The only night that would have been possible is Friday night. The other caveat is if they took a private jet…they are not at the whim of the airlines. They could leave Saturday night at 10pm and be in Montreal by 6am Sunday. Check for bloodshot eyes.

IF they were there, they violated the NHL COVID guidelines and should be ineligible for the Finals. It sounds like they also violated Canadian protocols, as well.

LOL. You're right. I must have been mesmerized by the Dawg.

Then there was no way on God's green earth they were partying in Las Vegas. What kind of a cockamamie story is that?

See, this is one issue with MDawg and Marcus. When was the last time either of them said, "Ooops, I was utterly wrong?" It's a little bit of a tell. Like the Marianas Trench is a little bit dark.

Cockamamie (from dictionary.com): ridiculous, pointless, or nonsensical.

As in, "What kind of a cockamamie story was that?"

The great thing about cockamamie -- it bypasses the whole assigning truthfulness bit or calling anyone a liar.

These players would have been psychotic to attempt such a trip.

Perhaps someone saw something that was being rebroadcast a few days after the event.

What a conundrum. I have it on good authority that MDawg would never make anything up. What a pity he isn't here to explain this to us. This story shakes the ironclad faith the forum has in his word.

The Canadiens did not travel from Montreal to Las Vegas in between the ending of the semi-finals and the start of the finals. It is obvious that saying stuff like that is just "sharks are smooth" type trolling (for those who don't know, you can read it here, I find it hilarious: https://imgur.com/gallery/ad3je). The only question is if this is the only thing he has made up over the years, or if there are other stories that were also made up.

Spent some time hanging out with Pete Rose in the Planet Hollywood sportsbook after someone I was with gave him a winning tip on a horse. Saw the Kardashian sister who was married to Lamar Odom at the Mirage. That was the only non-professional athlete celebrity I've ever seen in a casino. A bunch of UFC fighters, and one local WWE guy. Some Raiders players and some NBA players. My favorite Las Vegas sighting was at the Target on Blue Diamond, a 7'5" player from India when the NBA summer league was in town.

Calling me a liar, TomG. Well, a man has to have something to say to even be called out. A man has to have actually lived in order to be questioned. So I'll take that insult as a compliment.

I actually re-verified what was said to me with some higher ups, and two of them re-confirmed it. One lower position employee said that the San Jose Sharks were in the back room, but, was contradicted by the others.

But all you'd have to do is contact someone you know at the casino. Versus repeating yourself/ves saying "it can't be" and 'calling me a liar.' I mean come on, how hard can it be and seriously, on a forum called Wizard of VEGAS it can't be difficult for its members to check something to do with Vegas.
I tell you it’s wonderful to be here, man. I don’t give a damn who wins or loses. It’s just wonderful to be here with you people. https://wizardofvegas.com/forum/gambling/betting-systems/33908-the-adventures-of-mdawg/

MDawg…. Now that you have the facts about the Hockey Team Canadiens schedule and the rules the NHL had in place, you don’t think it is more likely it was other Canadian hockey players gambling and NOT the Montreal Canadians? That the people who gave this info to you were either just wrong or exaggerating to be able to seem important themselves?
