I am getting outside my needs learning much about BTC and other cryptos, but I will tell you what I have learned which is important. Do not be fooled by being a HODLer. Retail is buying and propping it up, retail sold out of fear, but this fear might be real. The WHALEs were selling at the peaks and buying it all back on the real dips. THE WHALES SOLD AND ARE NOT REALLY HODLERS. Those who had held 1000 coins or more were the people selling at $60,000 and buying at $35,000s. So there are many people holding over $60,000,000 in BTC and they sold out. Do you know anyone with $60,000,000 who is a loser and an idiot? It is worth their time and their money to know a lot more than someone HODLing $1,000, or $10,000 or $100,000. Now they have the cash too. All these young people in college and in their 20s and everyone else putting their money into a dream, a con, a new world order, THEY ARE BEING PLAYED. The millenial generation, is not following in the footsteps of their PARENTS buying stocks, but it's WORSE! They are FOLLOWING in the FOOT STEPs of their GREAT, GREAT GRANDPARENTS! The GREAT, GREAT GRAND PARENTS back in the days when MAJOR PLAYERS COULD DO ANYTHING and they STOLE ALL THEIR MONEY in the unregulated stock market!

I have a prediction for you, when BITCOIN FALLS APART, THE STOCK MARKET WILL FALL APART, the WORLD WILL BE IN CHAOS, and...

YOU WILL HAVE NOTHING and THERE WILL BE NO CASINOS TO GO TO!!!

Anything tied in with BTC will go down with it. As JIM CRAMER would say, the WOOD STOCKS aka ARK INVEST and I'm not sure what else. This will cause a panic, everything will go down. $1,700,000,000,000 in BTC into poop.

Do you forget when you joined? This bright future, the Utopia, wealth for you, as long as you bury your money in a furnace and don't look for it ever.

I am a robot.

A flood in China reveals 1/3rd of Bitcoin mining is happening where the power went out in China. Elon Musk follows up saying Tesla is quitting Bitcoin. Bitcoin crashes by 50% in hours or days. It was a panic.

LOL. thanks for that

I'm totally clueless about the future of Bitcoin. But I strongly suspect its dollar value won't be the same as it is today in a week, a month, or a year.
As I sit hodling my modest BTC investment, I just take solice in the knowledge that there are bigger fools than me.
In spite of sitting on a profit, I wish I'd never got involved.

I mean it's no different than buy low and sell high, but I feel like the people are brain washed. The big holders sold and they're not supposed to be doing this. It's just a game crypto. BTC looks like a 3 mile high evil MTN on a 5 year, it was pretty clearly a peak of maximum interest. If the whales sell again, the retail guys will panic and then need to sell their promised land tickets the 65 year old genius Cathie Wood is selling.

I know they have mining in China big time. Power going out, I don't know about this. If the mining goes out, the price should spike because they're not mining more. Miners do hoard them, maybe they're the whales, or a lot of the whale population. They know when demand starts falling more than anyone else. It doesn't matter. The ones who sold were HODLing, making everyone feel safe then bam. Seems to me almost 2 trillion soaked in BTC is all the signs of inflation you need, they never count this. Though having the money too good to be a part of the natural world might be better. If it's not in the real world, it's not real because the money isn't making as much difference there in speculation versus spending and saving.

In closing, if it were the people who were too foolish or stupid to hold onto the BTC were the ones who sold it, the narrative could continue, but it wasn't them, it was the HODLers who sold high. Now they have just as much control over it and more cash. It wasn't Musk then. The regular people of the world were wondering where the top of the mountain went and were waiting for it to come back, then they fled. Otherwise, the volatility is so much on edge, anything can set it off. Maybe they'll start believing Ford should be a 3 trillion dollar car company and pump it up.

@Oncedear I keep watching these initiation videos and I really like them. Can't wait to get on the space ship. I think I'm kidding, but it's stage 1. I'm supposed to think it's a joke.

ONM.... it is of course no guarantee. But my son who bought 1/2 BTC for $5k doesn’t feel like the world is coming to an end when it fluctuates wildly. He is not lamenting that he didn’t sell at $60k. He is rather happy that it’s at $40k.

I’m not invested in them at all. I literally made a few dollars (maybe two Starbucks Frappuccino’s?) on my one trade. I just didn’t have the stomach for it.

But I am not sure that little me has any real way to foretell if it will be $10k before it is $100k.

I watched the one you posted and a few follow-ups. Then I read about the mass suicide in that cult at wikipedia. I must say they were pretty organised in suicide by groups, with the latter groups tidying up the bodies before topping themselves. Interesting too that they briefly embraced castration as a really good idea.

They still have a website.

With 8 billion of us stuck to this floating rock, it's perfectly reasonable to expect many millions of nutters, some of whom get a level of influence beyond the wildest dreams of their predecessors.

They walk amongst us!

The big money buying in bid it up, the big money fleeing will drive the price down. There was a $1,000 bid-ask spread the other day. That only happens in crashing currencies that don't recover. Bitcoin is an exception to falling down and not getting back up.

There are so many ways this game could be played, but I think they'll stick with the game plan used before. They very well may not, hard to be sure with just thought experiments and the game is always changing.

Which bit? The castration? Only hurts if you get your fingers trapped as the bricks collide.

sitting on a profit, I

you're one of those Whales ONM is talking about!
the next time Dame Fortune toys with your heart, your soul and your wallet, raise your glass and praise her thus: “Thanks for nothing, you cold-hearted, evil, damnable, nefarious, low-life, malicious monster from Hell!”   She is, after all, stone deaf. ... Arnold Snyder

You're going to have to set me to ignore because I'm tired of being insulted by you and not being able to let you have it. I won't do it. I'm not going to take a stab at you just to hurt you because I know I could. In real life I would cut you down so badly you would feel like you're 2 inches big and everyone knew it.
