You should have hit them with the “I don’t answer questions” bit. Anyway, sounds like white privilege to me Bill 🤣

It just took me over an hour to do what is usually a five-ten minute commute. It seems that the local hospital was set to give out 900 doses of the vaccine today and some of the usual suspects are complaining about whatever. Someone supposedly tipped off the cops that an attempt to shut down the site would be made, and the local Sheriff responded with a show of force. He even bought in the Arizona Rangers. After about twenty minutes of sitting, I inched up to the first of three checkpoints where I was asked what I was doing, where I was going, if I had firearms in the car, etc, etc. I must have answered them correctly because I was allowed to proceed to the next checkpoint, a half mile away where I again passed their pop quiz. A half hour later, same questions, same results.

A crazy, out of the blue question. Did you visit Bermuda in the summer of 1975?

. LOL. I was poor in 1975. I think I had never been more than a tank of gas from NYC. I’ve actually never been to Bermuda.

My reaction to second MODERNA shot. Got shot at 9am. By the time I went to sleep, around 11:30pm, other than a sore arm at injection site, no symptoms. And the sore arm was not as bad as with first shot. Woke up around 1am shivering frantically. I usually sleep au natural as I tend to be warm due to wife requiring 70 degree thermostat. I put on shorts, T shirt and warm socks and still felt freezing. I was shaking so much I scared my dog. Woke up around once an hour and never fell back into deep sleep. But when I woke up at 7am other than being dog tired I felt ‘normal’. I’ve taken 2 separate 2 hour naps and think my reactions to the shot are over and I just have to sleep tonight to return to normal. To me it can really be classified as an inconvenience, and rightly or wrongly, I now feel immune to COVID-19. In the sense that I’ll ‘do’ anything that society allows. I may go to my local casino next Wednesday.

Congrats on only minor reaction. That is the best case scenario as the reaction confirms vaccine is doing what it supposed to.

I'd be careful with that "I feel immune" idea. Your a medical guy, so I think you know to still be cautious. Unfortunately there are those that really do feel immune, throw caution to the wind and regret it later.

One of the big things is we are learning more and more everyday. And some info contradicts recent thoughts and info.

Just today I learned something new about my own situation. I have been having a few issues, big one is severe fatigue which has re-emerged in the past 8 weeks or so after having gone away for a while after my recovery. I also have been having re-occurring ear infections, an issue I have never had before, which started in August. Not all the time but maybe 6 episodes. Twice went to urgent care, once to my primary doctor and the others waited for it to resolve. I didn't continue to seek medical attention each time, because the 3 times I did, they told me they didn't really see anything but still treated me for inner ear infection.

So I wondered if this could be related to covid, but had never read that as a symptom, or lingering symptom, so I dismissed that idea and just assumed it was something new and fairly minor that I was going through recently.

So this morning I read that reoccurring inner ear infections is indeed a longterm issue for some people that have long term effects after recovering. Autopsies on several people that had passed away and had covid, actually found the virus in the inner ear canal. Since there is that tube that goes from throat to inner ear, it is not really surprising. But just something new I learned today. How to deal with this lingering effect or symptom, I haven't figured out yet. lol Just like I have no idea how to deal with the severe fatigue that has me sleeping 12-14 hours a day right now, between overnight, naps, naps in the recliner. Luckily my longterm issues aren't anything painful, nor I don't think dangerous, just disruptive to life and annoying.

One other issue I will mention even though when I mentioned this to my doctor, he looked at me as if I was nuts. lol

Back in April when I was going through the actual illness, I had this weird symptom, I have never seen mentioned. Funny dream. Not nightmares or anything unpleasant, but dreams of people, places and events from my youth. People and things I haven't thought about in 25 years. Teachers and events from Middle School. People and events from the ice cream shop that I worked at when I was 16 and haven't thought about in forever. Relatives that are now long gone. Friends at the time that I haven't seen in 20 years since we were kids.

So I had that back in April when I was going through the illness and it went away when I recovered. But when this fatigue came back about Christmas time, these funny dreams came back right with it. Weird.

How can I change my vote? 🤪

I invented a few casino games. Info: http://www.DaveMillerGaming.com/ ————————————————————————————————————— Superstitions are silly, childish, irrational rituals, born out of fear of the unknown. But how much does it cost to knock on wood? 😁

Hi KJ,
This is nothing to do with Covid, which we all know is a hoax: It is in fact part of the 5G remote control signals being sent to your vaccine modified receptor cells. You are supposed to be directed (How to vote, etc) by those radio signals, but until you are fully programmed and tuned, you will pick up random IPTV cross channel interference. Soon, you will start getting quite clear and authoritative voice commands, direct from Microsoft/Huawai, depending how close you are to the 5G mast.

You do realise that your Doctor will have had to file a defect notice to Microsoft. You will probably get called back for a follow up appointment to get you re-aligned
Aw c'mon. I'm joking, of course. No way would IPTV interfere with your 5G reception $:o)

ps. The inner ear infections may be a result of the rewiring of your cochlea to the audio command channel of your vaccine chip.

Stay safe, folks.

And I appreciate the heroic altruism of all who get the vaccine.
Yes, it very possibly has the downside of some side-effects, which they may have avoided by not vaccinating, but that's what heroes do: TOFTT.
Waiting patiently for mine, hopefully in the next two weeks. And of course it's NOT a substitute for masks and social distancing, which are doing a great job, already.
