You definitely don't want to catch this, so stay masked and socially distanced, vaccinated or not.

With some studies showing that as many as one-third of patients with COVID-19 may experience lingering symptoms, the National Institutes of Health announced this week that it is launching an analysis to figure out what is causing the constellation of symptoms.
Long-term effects of COVID-19 given name
I tell you itís wonderful to be here, man. I donít give a damn who wins or loses. Itís just wonderful to be here with you people.

The final tally of hundreds of millions or billions of dollars of collective income the ďexpertsĒ are going to siphon off of the taxpayers studying and researching the long term impacts/effects will be truly mind boggling.

I still didn't get a vaccine yet, I think the only way to stay protected is to maintain your distance by wearing a mask and keep sanitized your hand.

In an hour I go for second Moderna shot. Will update the forum on how shitty I feel over the next day or two. Itís bad enough that essential businesses were staggering the second shot injections so entire units did not call in sick on the same day. I think I will go to my local casino for the first time a week or so after. And start playing basketball again too! Will I be 100% safe...? Absolutely not! But the benefit of doing what I enjoy will outweigh that newly lowered risk.

Glad to hear you will be resuming your pre-Covid activities! Hopefully, your symptoms will be negligible. Both my parents got their 2nd shots at the beginning of this month. Dad had no symptoms, but Mom had a sore shoulder/arm for a couple of days.

I did have a question, though. You said you would be doing things in a week or so. I had heard that it takes 14 days after the second shot for full effectiveness (this came from a family member who is an RN). Do you think the 14 day guideline is an overabundance of caution, or perhaps the guidelines been changed? It seems that prevailing thought on all things Covid is constantly evolving.

A crazy, out of the blue question. Did you visit Bermuda in the summer of 1975?

Good luck to you SOOPOO. Hope any adverse reaction from the second vaccine is mild. One good thing is that reaction, soreness in the arm and muscle, headache, general feeling of not feeling well, is actually a positive thing in that it indicates the vaccine is working and your body responding just as it should.

It just took me over an hour to do what is usually a five-ten minute commute. It seems that the local hospital was set to give out 900 doses of the vaccine today and some of the usual suspects are complaining about whatever. Someone supposedly tipped off the cops that an attempt to shut down the site would be made, and the local Sheriff responded with a show of force. He even bought in the Arizona Rangers. After about twenty minutes of sitting, I inched up to the first of three checkpoints where I was asked what I was doing, where I was going, if I had firearms in the car, etc, etc. I must have answered them correctly because I was allowed to proceed to the next checkpoint, a half mile away where I again passed their pop quiz. A half hour later, same questions, same results.
