Finally we agree on something, unfortunately for you, I think this may be just a little too political and you're going to take a red rubber bullet.Quote: WatchMeWinPhilly saw quite thug feast the past few days. Can you imagine if the casinos were open? Lord have MERCY! They would have raided the cages with absolute no hesitation or restraint. Floyd who? Its christmas in the cities thanks to that horrible incident... and it was horrible what that cop did in Minneapolis. Inexcusable! Just an excuse for the thugs to shine and show their true colors.
I'm going to let this one slide. But yes. 'Too controversial' under my interpretation of rule 19.Quote: AxelWolfFinally we agree on something, unfortunately for you, I think this may be just a little too political and you're going to take a red rubber bullet.
Stay safe.

Upon further review, poster suspended for making a political statement. Per the Martingale policy, seven days.
Wow, you guys sure have a funny Martingale system. 3 days, 3 days, 3 days, 14 days, 14 days, 2 months, 4 months, 3 days, 7 days. Super secret betting system ?Quote: WizardUpon further review, poster suspended for making a political statement. Per the Martingale policy, seven days.
BTW I don't think he knew about the new rule, and it kinda sucks.

Mike, since you do allow a discussion of should casinos be re-opened, which is CLEARLY a political thread, as it is decided by, well, POLITICIANS, then his post above is no more or less political than any post in that thread. He didn't cross the line into "because Trump" or "those libbies" or stuff like that. I am asking you to reconsider, and unsuspend him. And close this thread as well.

There is no armed security in Pennsylvania casinos? Las Vegas casinos might have problems if there are protests nearby. Looters getting anywhere close to the cage is not one of them.

It's all about keeping short sessions and hit-and-run.

I admit I don't get this one.
Because we don't want to insult looters?
Now that's funny, very clever. 🤜🤛Quote: TomGIt's all about keeping short sessions and hit-and-run.
Quote: AxelWolfMr. Wizard, the rioting, looting and protests affects Las Vegas and the casino significantly. Aside from 9/11 I think this is one of the biggest events I can remember here in the United States. Please allow an area for us to discuss this. You can always it come up with some guidelines and even block specific members from the thread if they get too far out of line.
Protesting, rioting and looting may only be discussed to the angle that it affects casino openings and security. If you want to discuss it in a broader sense, take it to DT.

Apparently they always have at least one state police officer in an office somewhere in the building I’ve heard the bottom floor or something like that. Something something

They all have a state trooper on site at every Pennsylvania casino.
They are usually plainclothes. The two who came and got me in 2016 were
They were not prepared for any type of rioting/looting situation Imo.
(I was released without charge once they verified I had not committed the crime the casino accused me of in case you are wondering)

Las Vegas police have been firing CS gas and rubber bullets this week, downtown and on the strip, with little to no rioting or looting going on around. My guess is if there were riots on a casino floor and it got to the level of looting the cage, as WMW was talking about, someone would be firing lead, either armed security or police, and it would end very quick.

Can you shoot someone for breaking stuff in a casino? Normally, they'd just have to deal with a couple violent patrons at most.

From what I have seen in the past they won't use any weapons in a brawl even with hundreds of people involved
They are too concerned about lawsuit's from patrons hurt by security in the melee

So, maybe the best thing for the casino to do is bribe make a deal with the cops. Give them some special offers to drop whatever their doing and come rescue the casino if there is an onslaught of rioters.
Or, how about this. Make a plan, for a couple of employees to hurl cash into the street (a few hundred dollar bills, but mostly lots of $1) and yell at the rioters about free money in the street. Then bar the doors.
Probably what you seen in the past wasn't Vegas.Quote: darkozFrom what I have seen in the past they won't use any weapons in a brawl even with hundreds of people involved

Not a riot but same principal.

There is nothing to read into here regarding the suspension. It is as simple as this.. Certain member here , who's name rhymes with maxelhoof, gets a kick out of having me suspended so he cries foul on my posts for some reason or other. Then the Wiz always grants him his wish... not sure what their deal is , but whatever... stay hydrated folks. Just took a nice 8k W at Foxwoods this past week. Hit n run!
I can barely remember what your last suspension was over. I think it's coming back to me a little.... Do you think it may have had something to do with the title of your thread that caught someone's eye?Quote: WatchMeWinThere is nothing to read into here regarding the suspension. For the record, I didn't direct anyone to your post or ask anybody to suspend you.
I didn't even think it was fair that you got suspended in the first place over that.
Quote: VegasriderA Las Vegas police officer is on life support after being shot by a thug on the strip. Until all the protestesting dies down, the strip or even downtown might not be very safe. Especially if they implement a curfew. Hope the officer pulls through.
considering the radical far left wing views of wizard the moderator and his hatred of Trump (and of course by extension the american people who wholeheartedly support Trump) im surprised your post didnt get removed. i figured he would object to u calling the guy who shot the cop a thug and claim u are racist for using the word thug. instead the wizard would claim he was someone who was underprivledged and wasnt responsible for what he did.
and this is what is wrong with liberalism. its a cancer its a disease and sad to say, most young people under 30 are foolish enough to fall for it.
Casino Security needs to be armed, as well as have non-lethal options (taser and spray)....
Also, I have long been a supporter of Security Guard/ EMT (or Medic) positions.... Its important for security guards to be able to render aid, not just in emergencies, but also because casinos have elderly and medically fragile (smokers, drinkers. etc...) clientele....
Casino security can be great, it greatly varies by location, but many are too politically correct and not be willing to show strength when necessary....
To keep people safe in this time of medical uncertainty and riots we need armed casino security and medically trained casino security.

Great, I see lots of wrongful death lawsuit's by AP's gunned down by overzealous security guards

Very unlikely unless they act foolish.....
I doubt most APs would want to draw that kind of attention....
Yeah, we know your views on Casino security. It was very apparent when that video came out where the Casino security in Atlantic City attacked that family(including a 14 year old girl) and you thought the security was innocent.Quote: GandlerVery unlikely unless they act foolish.....

I think casino security is mostly there for the disorderly.
Don't they follow the banking model. Let the robber run away with the money. They're insured. They've probably got more cameras than banks. All's good.
And riot situations aren't super common. Like 500 year flood. (only on a smaller scale) Not reason enough to staff for them.

What are you asking?
I think he thought you were claiming there have been a bunch of wrongful death lawsuits by Advantage players.Quote: darkozWhat are you asking?
I'm quite certain you were joking/claiming if we had a bunch of armed security guards there would be.
I might be wrong on this, and I probably am, but I swear back in the 90s many locations on the Strip did in fact arm all their security guards.
I know all the security guards at the Frontier we're armed cuz they would oftentimes invite me to go shooting with them. I'm pretty sure they also had to test out once a year and go through some type of training course.

That's precisely what I was saying (i.e I was joking about the possibility of a future with armed security)
Sanchopanza likes to take direct quotes out of context and then ask questions to make you look bad. I have seen him do it before. So I am asking him back questions out of context as well.
Anything else would probably get me suspended
Quote: darkozGreat, I see lots of wrongful death lawsuit's by AP's gunned down by overzealous security guards
Wouldn't that be a good thing for the AP's and their families? Instigate a scenario where the guard shoots you and you and your family could collect riches. It sounds like the perfect AP move to me.

What was the outcome of the trial again?
Remind me what happened to the criminal complaint?
