I'm usually a Caesar's Diamond Aspiration Lvl 1 with around 50k tier credits a year.
then Caesars got rid of the Aspiration tiers last year so I only made the minimum 25k tier points for free entry to their Diamond lounges.

I guess it was a good thing I no longer had an incentive to gamble more there because Hard Rock and Ocean opened up.
I haven't been back to any Caesar's AC property in 6 months and now all 3 of them have stopped giving me free Sat rooms.

yes, I can get free Sat rooms at other casinos so I can still play at Caesar's on a weekend w/o paying for a room and do a Diamond in a Day.
and yes, doing that '$50k coin-in' in 1 day will put me back in Caesar's good graces with rooms and good freeplay.
but I no longer have any desire to.

for me, the only thing that set CET apart from the other casinos was it's FREE Diamond lounges. The other casinos charged to get into their VIP lounges even if you have an equivalent tier level.
But that novelty of free Diamond lounges has worn off since I have so much comp dollars built up at the other casinos that I can easily pay the $10 entrance fee.

since I play mostly VP, I view Gambling as the same as other casinos. In AC, the best VP for a CET property without the higher coin-in per tier credit is at Bally's with 9/7 DB (99.11%).
for the other AC casinos it's either the same 9/7 DB, or slightly better 8/5 BP (99.17%).

but can you really blame them? I hear a lot of complaints about this but if you played a 99.17 you only gave them $415 in EV. Why do you think you should be entitled to a Saturday room? You are already eating and drinking for free. When you take up a Saturday room you are costing them money to come play. I bet they would prefer that you left as well. Plus you get the other perks like 100 dinner, shows if in vegas, and probably some free play.

Yes they used to give this type of stuff out freely which makes it seem crappy when they don't anymore but that business practice put them in bankruptcy.

oh dont get me wrong. I do get it.
I haven't been there in a while so im not surprised that my offers have dropped.
hence this thread on why I don't feel like getting back in their good graces again.

also, since I don't expect to goto Vegas anytime soon, the free monthly shows in Vegas have no value to me. (Last time I was there was around 2015.)

as to bankruptcy, I think it's more the Apollo group raping caesars with it's management fees than giving out rooms that were sitting empty anyway.
and them now giving less stuff out freely when people are accustomed to free stuff will probably bite them in the ass. There are lots of other casinos and more are popping up every year.
heck, if the whole casino industry is tightening up, People might spend their entertainment dollars on something else besides gambling.

edit:
I suspect the Apollo Group's plan from the beginning was to bleed Caesar's dry, grab as much profit in the shortest time possible, then declare bankruptcy for Caesar's and leave the bond holders/pension funds holding the bag

I don't think that is true. APs and people who are savy might dry up but casinos don't need or want those people. The average joe has no clue what is going on. Hell, most people don't even realize that their average per day or trip is what triggers their future offers. I am in a few vegas and ac facebook groups and people complain everyday about their comps but they are always wrong in their reasoning.

I’m pretty sure the trifecta of over leveraging, an absurd amount of over exposure in dying markets like tunica, reno and AC, and a recession put caesars in bankruptcy not giving out easy comps.

The combo of the first two look pretty obvious and foreseeable in retrospect, it fits like they pre-planned a bankruptcy that they never had any intention of paying debts in full, the recession just created their timing. Such a scam would fit the character of that company quite well.

sounds like it was never much of a big deal and if a casino is no longer making you happy...leave.

ehhh.. it's not that cut and dry for me.

I've spent many hours at the 3 CET properties over the years. it's where I did the vast majority of gambling while in AC.
I guess I was sheep, blindly renewing my Diamond status year after year.

the ploppies will get a feeling that the casinos aren't providing as much of an entertainment value as before.
or at the very least, they will realize their $ isn't lasting as long as before.
and with less comps while losing $ faster, it would feel like adding insult to the injury.

then again, what do I know?
i blindly went back to CET for all those years when it didn't offer much over my local casinos and could have saved all those hours of driving.
