as im watching the video, I noticed how Popeye like his forearm is.
impressive for a math geek. :)
What's your secret?
It's either good genes or he works a strength regimen.
Then again, could be he eats a lot of spinach.
Should be careful. Big forearms are great and all, but don’t want to risk going blind.Quote: onenickelmiracleDon't see it, don't know what you're talking about, but that's ok. Will save the joke I'm almost compelled to make.

Thank you! That is the best compliment I've had in a while. To be honest, I think my legs, especially my calves, are better. You can see them in this video, towards the end.

I'm quite into cycling, both bicycles and unicycles as well as hiking. I climbed Mount Charleston (18.4 miles & 5000 feet of elevation gain) last weekend. I also do a 45-minute boot camp most days, which probably accounts for any upper body strength I may have. So, two hours of exercise a day is my secret.
Hi ZCore13, Could you humor a limey and explain that statement for me? I know what a 401k is, but what's the context for investing your pension fund into 'quarter sheet pieces of paper'Quote: Zcore13I just moved my 401k money into quarter sheet pieces of paper.

Thanks.

Watch the video. I feel like there might be a strong run on them after people watch it. I'm going all in on it. Gonna have the highest quality quarter sheet papers on the market.

But yes, those forearms are impressive!
Great mind, great arms, great legs, great calves. Unfortunately, it all falls apart when they take just one look at your hands. )-;Quote: WizardThank you! I'm told the etiquette there is to not take pictures of naked people without their consent. However, I haven't heard that rule about "scantily clad." I'll play it by ear when I get there.

That was good. Funny how one insult can outweigh several compliments.

buddy that attended a few yrs back didn't take his good camera with him.... just the iphone...... sand and good cameras do not mix . replacing the lens on a phone is cheap and easy

I've broken two of those little cameras with pop-out lenses. With one a grain of sand somehow got between the casing and lens and that was all she wrote. The other I dropped and the lens got out of position. I would not recommend getting one of those cameras unless used strictly indoors and the user is very gentle with it.
I wouldn't worry about taking pix at BM: use a go pro or i-phone.
Many BM videos are taken and uploaded to youtube.
Have you figured out your "costume" yet?
jesters cap a must! (To cover the white hair)Quote: MrVWiz:

Thanks for the suggestion, I think I will take my GoPro and would have taken my iPhone anyway.
I already have a jester's outfit from a renaissance fair I went to over 20 years ago. That is my best idea at this point. I went to a couple thrift stores, but didn't find anything good.
What happens at Burning Man ...

Thank you, but I was not happy with that performance. Here is my second attempt to juggling on the unicycle for at least one minute.

I don't recall your comments after your 50mi attempt, which makes me think you must not have cried and moaned that much about it. Assuming that's true, did you know the world record is but 106mi?
Not to say it'd be cake, nor is 50 'almost' 100, but for a guy always looking for physical challenges, it seemed worth trying to plant a seed in your mind =)

I think the record you're referring to is a non-stop unicycle ride. In my 50-mile challenge I got off to rest many times, especially the last 20 miles.
I am thinking of doing some kind of inline skating challenge. I'll probably start with a marathon and see how I feel after that.

A can of spinitch?
Olive Oyl in a bottle?
His other eye?
Seriously.............I have no idea.
Side note: I know it's spelled 'spinach', but it always sounded like 'spinitch' to me.

Thinking of Popeye The Sailorman right now and I THINK his other tattoo is the front of a ship. A blue one. I think the front of a ship is called a Hull. :)
I disagree. I watched that show a lot growing up and wondered why he had the same tattoo on each arm. Of course, when spinach was introduced, his tattoos would change color and do things but, he was boringQuote: WizardThere was indeed an anchor on one arm, but I'm still waiting on a correct answer for the other one. see

If it were ME doing the cartoon, the way they did it back then, I would do the arms the same, because they drew it in outline on clear acetate, then went back and colored it in, frame by frame.
So, if his arms were the same tattoo, they could use the same sequence of drawings twice - flip it over for the mirror image - and get more cartoon footage pre-drawn. Just change the order, and/or background, and/or soundtrack.
To think that each frame was hand drawn: a stunning achievement.

Yeah, I knew a lady who was one of WDs original animators. She was, I think, the lead on Sneezy, for one (Snow White). For more than a year, all she did was paint Sneezy, cel by cel.
Ya know, I'll have to look in storage. I have a stunning picture, think it was a background to Fantasia, like 2'x3'. Someone dumped it in Hawaii, but it has the tags from Disney in the back. I'll try and pull it out, get a good shot of it. If you want it, it's yours. Titled something like, 'The Stormy Seas ".

a heart with Mom on it
like bikers do, I think.
I love my Mom, not that much. Maybe with a rub on type tattoo.

They had sweat shops of very low paid artists artists, mostly women, coloring each frame.
Disney has treated workers poorly since the very beginning.
There’s a great docuseries on Amazon Prime Streaming that I highly recommend it’s called , “American Experience: Walt Disney”.
